    "description": "<p>                                                                              <span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 14pt; font-weight: bold\">STEWARD</span><br><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">Sandy Lane, an exclusive AAA Five Diamond, Forbes Five Star exclusive resort and a member of Leading Hotels of the World, is seeking to recruit Stewards for our Stewarding Department.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">The Role</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">The Steward will report to the Executive Chief Steward and the Chief Steward and will be responsible for assisting the Stewarding Supervisors and maintaining the kitchen standards for sanitation and cleanliness</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Key Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\"> </span><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">Assist with the Set up and breakdown of all functions as required</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">Check to ensure that all the equipment is in good working condition and ensures that the units are clean, and in good working order.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">Ensure that all sanitation standards are maintained including but not limited to the cleaning of</span>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">All Kitchens</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">Walls, Floors</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">Ice Machines, Equipment, Fridges</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">All Loading Docks</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">All Store Rooms</span></li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">Ensure the service area is kept clean and organized throughout the daily operations</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">Ensure that all dirty dishes are returned to the kitchen and the dirty glasses are stacked on the racks</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">Ensure that all cleaning Schedules and policies are adhered to.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">Clean all the equipment and reports any broken or missing items</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">Drive the delivery truck when required to do so and assists with packing and unpacking of equipment, utensils, food and beverage items</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">Ensure that all buffet areas are properly sanitized and set up for meal periods as per standard.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Our preferred candidate must possess: </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\"> </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">A good secondary education with passes in CXC English Language and Mathematics</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">One year’s experience in a similar position preferably in a hotel environment</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">A valid heavy duty driver’s license would be an asset</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">Good customer service, interpersonal and organizational skills</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">Good communication skills with both internal and external guests</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">Ability to anticipate needs and be flexible in meeting requests</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">Ability to remain calm, objective and courteous under pressure and in stressful situations</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.</span><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">The successful candidate must be in excellent physical condition to perform extensive walking, bending, lifting and stretching.
