    "description": "<h2>Role Overview</h2>\n<p>Sodexo Senior Living is seeking an <strong>Food</strong> <strong>Operations Manager 2</strong> to join our dining services team at <strong>Bridgewater Retirement Community, in Bridgewater, VA.</strong>  Bridgewater is a large continuing care retirement community located on a 55-acre campus nestled in the folds of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Bridgewater Retirement Community is ideally located near the center of the town, providing a flat terrain for easy walking access to dining, entertainment, shopping, the library and many recreational opportunities.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This Food Operations Manager will oversee the independent living dining operations which include a formal dining room, cafe and catering. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills and be a champion for their employees and staff. Prior catering experience is needed.  Typical schedule is 9:00am - 6:00pm with every 5th weekend coverage. </p>\n<h2>What You'll Do</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>oversee mainly FOH dining operations serving our independent living residents;</li>\n <li>will manage a staff of approximately 25 hourly employees</li>\n <li>ensure that the highest possible standards of food handling and preparation are achieved;</li>\n <li>interface closely and daily with residents;</li>\n <li>motivate, coach, mentor and develop frontline staff.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What We Offer</h2>\n<p>Compensation is fair and equitable, partially determined by a candidate's education level or years of relevant experience.
