Nourishing Hope has evolved to become more than solely a hunger relief organization. We provide food, social services such as job and housing assistance, and free mental wellness counseling with a growing team of licensed therapists. Founded in 1970, we strive to serve the needs of the whole person — with respect and dignity, always.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Nourishing Hope offers our neighbors nutritious food using a choice-based distribution model and access to life-changing social services including:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Monthly food distribution and additional produce pickup through five different food access programs.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Home delivery services for older adults, homebound neighbors and neighbors living with disabilities.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Social services including case management, mental health counseling, job search support, domestic violence intervention, referrals and public benefits assistance (SNAP, healthcare, government forms) for anyone in need.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Nourishing Hope serves tens of thousands of people each year, providing more than 4 million meals through our programs, in addition to partnerships with other community organizations. This year, more than 7,000 low-income neighbors will also receive case management and social services.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(34, 34, 34); font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt; font-weight: bold\">Position Summary</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">The Coordinator of Home Delivery primarily supports the effective delivery of Nourishing Hope’s food distribution programming, including the In-Person Markets, Home Delivery, and Online Market program models, as appropriate. This role supports all aspects of daily food distribution programming for Home Delivery, including neighbor and volunteer engagement, operations and logistics, data tracking and reporting, and food safety and sanitation. The work schedule is Tuesday-Saturday, 8:30AM-5PM. This position is fully onsite and at partner sites. Occasional on-site work at other locations may be required, depending on program needs.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(34, 34, 34); font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt; font-weight: bold\">Essential Job Functions</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Supports adherence to and execution of all relevant food distribution program standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure high-quality programming, food storage, workplace safety, and sanitation standards that adhere to organizational, state, and federal policy.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Acts as a frontline point of contact for all neighbors, providing assistance and guidance, while effectively managing expectations regarding program processes, service availability, and other pertinent information with transparency and clarity. Fosters a welcoming environment for everyone, anchored in empathy and dignity.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Supports the training and supervision of volunteers and new program staff to assist with food distribution programming, in alignment with SOPs. Acts as the manager on duty, as appropriate.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Using required technology platforms, accurately inputs or maintains neighbor and programmatic data, produces and submits required reports, and tracks benchmarks/key performance indicators. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Appropriately supports inventory and relationships with The Greater Chicago Food Depository, U.S.D.A., FEMA, and other external partners. </span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(34, 34, 34); font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt; font-weight: bold\">Qualifications</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-style: italic; font-weight: bold\">Required</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">High School diploma/GED or equivalent, college degree preferred.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">2-5 years work experience in social services, food service/distribution, or grocery/retail environments.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and ability to drive a van. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Strong technology skills including:</span>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Ability to use and maintain Salesforce customer relationship management (CRM) data quality.</span></li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">An understanding of, and belief in, the importance of food security for everyone.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Familiarity with the interconnected barriers experienced by neighbors experiencing food insecurity, including but not limited to homelessness, mental and physical health, disability, substance use, and aging-related barriers.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Ability to obtain and maintain food service sanitation certification in accordance with municipal and state laws.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Strong interpersonal and communication skills (in person, over the phone, remotely, and in writing) and the ability to navigate challenging situations with patience and professionalism. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Proven ability to work independently and as a member of a team, including willingness to provide staff coverage, depending on programmatic need.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;
