We understand that all forms of oppression are damaging.</p>\n\n<p><strong><em>We hope that you will join us in this work!</em></strong><br />\n<br />\n<strong>This is you:</strong></p>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>You love to teach and believe students&#39; self-confidence, health, and brain power improve from active learning.</li>\n\t<li>You think out of the box or use our curriculum resources&nbsp;to create a challenging learning environment.</li>\n\t<li>You effectively use technology; have experience working in a virtual classroom.</li>\n\t<li>You adapt with ease to changing programmatic needs while maintaining composure and a positive attitude.</li>\n</ul>\n\n<p><strong>Highlights of What You Will Do:</strong></p>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>Work with the site coordinator and other program staff, while providing social-emotional and academic support to students.</li>\n\t<li>Assist with planning, development, and implementation of project-based, cross-curricular enrichment activities.</li>\n\t<li>Provide project-based learning to students &ndash; making learning enjoyable and interesting thus keeping our learners actively engaged.</li>\n\t<li>Strengthen students&rsquo; academic skills, and deepen their communication skills with adults and peers.</li>\n\t<li>Tie activities to academic learning, enriching the education of youth outside of school.</li>\n</ul>\n\n<p><br />\nCandidates do not have to commit to the full school year or the full work week. Employment can be seasonal and just for a few days of the week. There&rsquo;s lots of flexibility in scheduling hours. Teaching experience in a traditional setting is a plus!</p>\n\n<p><strong>We currently have programs at the following locations:</strong></p>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>Amherst Middle School</li>\n\t<li>East Meadow Elementary (Granby)</li>\n\t<li>Fisher Hill Elementary (Orange)</li>\n\t<li>Greenfield High School</li>\n\t<li>Koziol Elementary (Ware)</li>\n\t<li>Mahar Regional (Orange)</li>\n\t<li>Ware Junior/Senior High School&nbsp;</li>\n\t<li>West Springfield High School</li>\n</ul>\n\n<p>Please submit your resume and a cover letter that details an enrichment activity you would lead with students and how you would structure it.</p>\n",
