font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"><span style=\"color: #202124; font-size: 15px\">The Concrete Finishing Foreman supervises a crew of Finishers and semi-skilled employees in work activities associated with smoothing and finishing surfaces of poured concrete.  </span><span style=\"color: #2c3241; font-size: 15px\">The Finishing Foreman will be responsible and ensure that elevation benchmarks are met.   </span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES </span><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">(“Incidental” job duties may be included but </span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #2f3639; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\"> </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"><br><span style=\"color: #202124\">Manages and develops a Finishing crew of 8- 12 Finishers.</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"><br><span style=\"color: #202124\">Ensures the Finishing crew completes all projects in accordance with project scope of work and specifications.</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"><br><span style=\"color: #202124\">Coordinates with General Superintendent and Field Superintendents to tactfully schedule all concreate flatwork operations utilizing all assets and resources to minimize costs.</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"><br><span style=\"color: #202124\">Responsible to review project scope of work and specifications for each project and ensure work details are communicated accurately to the crew and successfully completed.</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"><br><span style=\"color: #202124\">Required to conduct job site visits to pre-plan upcoming concrete pours and finishing activities.</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"><br><span style=\"color: #202124\">Inspects condition of grade, forms, and steel placement for compliance with project specifications.</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"><br><span style=\"color: #202124\">Monitors placement and finishing operations for project specification compliance.</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"><br><span style=\"color: #202124\">Must ensure job site, tools, equipment, inventory, and supplies are safe, secure, neat and in orderly condition on a daily basis.</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"><br><span style=\"color: #202124\">Required to ensure all finishing equipment is always in working order and properly maintained.</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"> When necessary, required to properly operate Finishing equipment including but not limited to ride on/walk behind trowel machines, vibra screed and aluminum straightedges, roller/truss screeds, etc.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"> Trains crew in the proper use of all Finishing Equipment as necessary.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"> Responsible to perform soft cut sawing at times and also teaches and ensures the crew is properly performing soft cut sawing.. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"><br><span style=\"color: #202124\">Must ensure that all finishing equipment is thoroughly cleaned at the end of each workday.</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"><br><span style=\"color: #202124\">Responsible to provide the General Superintendent/Field Superintendent with daily written reports that outline the work activity details for each project site. </span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"><br><span style=\"color: #202124\">Responsible to inventory all finishing equipment parts daily, to included but not limited to trowel and float blades, and order as necessary.</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"><br><span style=\"color: #202124\">Ensures staff adheres to all Company and OSHA safety policies and standards including the use of PPE. Must wear proper PPE including safety glasses/face shield, safety gloves, and steel toed boots.</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"><br><span style=\"color: #202124\">Conducts daily huddles that included relevant toolbox talks.</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"> Must perform other job related as needed.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"> Build and develop trusting relationships with current customers and seek to identify opportunities to grow our customer base and build positive relationships.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE </span><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">(Include necessary licenses and specialized training.)</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 13px\"> </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Minimum of </span><span style=\"color: windowtext; font-size: 15px\">7</span><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">+ years’ experience as a Concrete Finisher Foreman </span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Demonstrated experience overseeing a Finishing crew of at least 8 Finishers.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with subordinators and all levels of management.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Proven ability to understand all facets of elevation/grades for all types of concrete placement.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Illustrate in-depth knowledge of all concrete processes.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Ability to read and understand blueprints and elevations.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">OSHA 30 certification required.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">CPR and First Aid certification required.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"> Proven experience operating Finishing equipment including but not limited to proper operation of ride on/walk behind trowel machines, the use of vibra screed and aluminum straightedges, use of roller/truss screeds.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"> Must have experience with soft cut sawing. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"> Specialty concrete knowledge (stamped, exposed aggregate and Pervious concrete) is preferred but not required.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #2c3241; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS (</span><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">The factors described here are representative of those physical demands that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  The environmental factors described are representative of those encountered while performing the essential functions of this job.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.   Additional factors, if applicable, must be specified.)</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 13px\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear.  Must be able to stand, bend, climb and kneel for prolonged periods of time.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  Must be able to work safely in a variety of weather conditions and terrains.  Position will require that employee have manual dexterity, good sense of balance and excellent hand-eye coordination.  The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.
