    "description_html": "<p><strong>Location: Ottawa, ON (Hybrid)</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>About this opportunity</strong></p><p>As a member of a dynamic development team, the Senior HW designer will be responsible for planning, scheduling, architecture, design, testing and delivery to manufacturing of carrier-grade hardware used for optical line systems capable of 400Gbps and beyond and broadband fiber access systems with PON rates of up to 50Gbps.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></p><ul><li>Lead HW development projects and advise and mentor other HW team members</li><li>Own all aspects of circuit pack development schedule, prototype delivery, product testing and product certification</li><li>Work with product line management and other managers to interpret and negotiate product features and specifications</li><li>Lead and interface with contract resources outside of your organization</li><li>Define technical specifications to support design concepts, and participate in specification peer reviews</li><li>Participate in design reviews, guide technical discussions to conclusion</li><li>Interface with component vendors and negotiate design specifications with external suppliers</li><li>Review Designs to ensure they meet architecture goals</li><li>Support the technology transfer to manufacturing/production testing</li></ul>",
