    "description": "<h2>Position Summary</h2>\n<p>Acuren is looking for a Machine Operator I at our Magnolia, TX location. </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Cutting rough test samples according to instruction on a band saw</li>\n <li>Facing of hardness samples on a manual lathe</li>\n <li>Turning of mechanical sample blanks on a manual lathe</li>\n <li>Center Drilling mechanical sample blanks on a manual lathe</li>\n <li>Shaping reduced sections of mechanical samples on a computer assisted lathe</li>\n <li>Threading mechanical samples on a computer assisted lathe</li>\n <li>Cutting metallographic samples on an abrasive saw</li>\n <li>Following written procedures for sample preparation</li>\n <li>Sample identification and quality control to ensure integrity of tests</li>\n <li>Brinell and Rockwell hardness testing</li>\n <li>Mounting and polishing of metallographic samples</li>\n <li>Heat Treatment</li>\n <li>Operation of CNC cylindrical grinder for final mechanical sample</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Requirements</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Aptitude to adhere to safe work practices</li>\n <li>Perform work with a high degree of integrity</li>\n <li>Ability to lift up to 25 pounds repeatedly</li>\n <li>Capability to work flexible hours, overtime, and a 3/2 team schedule.</li>\n <li>Basic computer operating skills in a windows PC environment</li>\n <li>Previous experience in Mechanical or Metallographic sample preparation</li>\n <li>Familiarity in heat treating practice and theory</li>\n <li>Knowledge and/or experience in the machining of mechanical test samples.</li>\n <li>Knowledge and/ or experience in preparation of Metallography samples and Metallographic Testing</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Benefits</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Competitive salary</li>\n <li>Medical, dental, vision, and supplemental insurance</li>\n <li>401K Plan</li>\n <li>Paid Holidays</li>\n <li>Paid Time Off</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Company Overview</h2>\n<p>Acuren is a trusted, single source provider of technology-enabled asset protection solutions used to evaluate the structural integrity of critical energy, industrial and public infrastructures.
