Some of what you will do:
Reporting to the Director, Operational Excellence, the Senior Manager, Store Operations Performance & Planning is responsible for driving consistent execution of core store operating standards across the store network. This role leads store labour and operating expense (OPEX) planning processes, including budgeting, forecasting, performance tracking, and governance, with a focus on clear expectations and disciplined execution.
The role owns the design, management, and deployment of tools, reporting, and operating routines that support store and field teams in executing labour models, product and service processes, SOPs, and brand standards. The Senior Manager partners closely with Field Leadership and cross‑functional teams to reinforce standards, support execution, remove barriers, and ensure a consistent operating rhythm across stores.
Specifically, You Will:
Lead the planning and management of store operating expenses and labour budgets, including budgeting, forecasting, labour model design, and ongoing performance reviews. Drive consistent execution of core store operating standards by governing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), maintaining clear success measures, and reinforcing a disciplined operating rhythm across the entire store network. Develop and manage tools, reporting, scorecards, and operating routines that give stores and field leaders clear visibility into performance, expectations, and required actions. Provide actionable insights through P&L reviews and variance analysis, helping leaders balance cost, service levels, sales, and operational execution. Partner closely with Field Leadership (RVPs/DMs/Store Managers) to strengthen cost discipline, reinforce accountability, and remove barriers to consistent execution. Identify operational friction points and recurring execution challenges, working cross functionally to solve root causes through improved processes and tools. Manage SOP governance end to end, ensuring clear ownership, version control, compliance measures, and alignment with training, communications, and reporting.
Some of what you need:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Analytics, or a related field required (or equivalent experience). 7+ years of progressive experience in retail operations, operational excellence, or operations analytics. 2+ years leading or influencing enterprise processes across a multi-store environment; people leadership experience strongly preferred. Experience partnering with Field Leadership (RVP/DM/Store Managers) to drive execution against budgets and operational standards. Demonstrated experience in leading and motivating a team to achieve goals and drive successful outcomes Experience in a corporate or central operations environment; retail field exposure is a strong asset. Strong knowledge of store operating expense management in a multi site retail environment, including budgeting, forecasting, allocation, and performance tracking across controllable expenses. Solid understanding of labour planning fundamentals (e.g., labour models, forecasting, scheduling, productivity standards, and time & attendance), with the ability to align labour decisions to store needs and business priorities. Demonstrated ability to translate data into actionable operational insights for field leadership. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey expectations, performance results, and actions clearly across multiple audiences and formats (written, verbal, and reporting). Proven change leadership—designing processes that drive adoption and reduce complexity for store teams. Demonstrated ability to build cross-functional organizational relationships through formal and informal networks Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint) and comfort with BI/reporting tools is an asset. Knowledge of UKG Dimensions is an asset. Bilingual (EN/FR) is an asset
