    "description": "<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>This position is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and safety for assigned facilities.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Collects and disposes of all types of waste including regular, recyclable and medical and operates compactor equipment.</li>\n <li>Sweeps, mops, dusts, strips, spray buffs and waxes all flooring surfaces, and vacuums, deodorizes, and shampoos all carpeted surfaces.</li>\n <li>Cleans and sanitizes all sinks, toilets, stalls, urinals, mirrors, waste receptacles and office furniture and replenishes restroom and cafeteria supplies.</li>\n <li>Cleans, dusts, and sanitizes walls, windows, ceilings, lighting fixtures, pipes, waste containers, and other surfaces as necessary.</li>\n <li>Provides cafeteria/meetings services to include set-up and clean-up, maintenance of coffee equipment, general cleanliness of the cafeteria, and ordering/stocking of cafeteria/meeting supplies.</li>\n <li>Performs relief responsibilities including but not limited to security function.</li>\n <li>Removes snow and debris from walkways and salts as necessary.</li>\n <li>Assists in the packing of freezers with dry ice in the event of freezer problems. </li>\n <li>Attend safety and training meetings as required.</li>\n <li>Perform other maintenance duties as required.</li>\n <li>Run errands as required.</li>\n <li>Any related duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong><u>Education:</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High School Diploma or equivalent. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Experience:</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>One year of experience in office or industrial maintenance.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Any combination of education, training and experience that has supplied the necessary knowledge, skills and experience to perform the essential functions of the job.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>For applicants who will perform this position in New York City or Westchester County, the proposed hiring rate is $20.00p/hr.
