    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<div>\n <div>\n  <b> Definition </b>\n </div>\n <div>\n  <b><br/></b>\n </div>\n <div>\n  Under general supervision, teaches one or more classes in the field to students in grades 6 through 12, assists in other school programs as assigned, and creates a flexible program and environment favorable to learning and personal growth in accordance with each student’s ability.\n </div>\n <div>\n  <br/>\n </div>\n <div>\n  <b> Duties and Responsibilities </b>\n </div>\n <div>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Responsible for planning, organizing, and presenting instruction and providing instructional environments that help students learn subject matter and skills that will contribute to their educational and social development.</li>\n   <li>Teaches how technology systems interact with our world related to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics concepts (robotics, infrastructures, etc.).</li>\n   <li>Instructs students in citizenship and basic subject matter specified in state law and administrative regulations and procedures of the school district.</li>\n   <li>Develops instructional plans and organize a class time to provide a balanced program of instruction, demonstration, and working time.</li>\n   <li>Provides individual and small group instruction in order to adapt the curriculum to the needs of pupils with varying intellectual abilities, and to accommodate a variety of instructional activities.</li>\n   <li>Establishes and maintains standards of pupil behavior required to provide an orderly and productive studio environment.</li>\n   <li>Instruct students in proper care and use of materials and equipment storage areas and control the use of materials and equipment to prevent loss or abuse.</li>\n   <li>Evaluates each student’s performance and growth in knowledge and understanding, and prepare progress reports.</li>\n   <li>Maintains professional competence through in-service education activities provided by the district and/or in self-selected professional growth activities.</li>\n   <li>Communicates with parents and school counselors on student progress.</li>\n   <li>Cooperates in school-wide supervision of students during out-of-classroom activities.</li>\n   <li>Participates in faculty and/or District committees and the sponsorship of student activities.</li>\n   <li>Other duties as assigned.</li>\n  </ul>\n </div>\n <div>\n  <b>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities</b>\n </div>\n <div>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Ability to meet the needs of all learners.</li>\n   <li>Ability to plan, coordinate, and continuously improve instruction.</li>\n   <li>Ability to motivate students.</li>\n   <li>Ability to maintain a clean and orderly environment.</li>\n   <li>Ability to analyze situations, determine possible options, and make appropriate decisions based on the facts.</li>\n   <li>Ability to develop and compile records and reports.</li>\n   <li>Ability to maintain order and discipline in a classroom.</li>\n   <li>Ability to operate common office machines.</li>\n   <li>Ability to maintain basic files and records.</li>\n   <li>Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.</li>\n   <li>Requires the ability to speak and/or signal people to convey or exchange information.&nbsp; Includes receiving instructions, assignments, and/or directions from superiors.</li>\n   <li>Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, teachers, parents, and administrators.</li>\n   <li>Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral form.</li>\n   <li>Requires the ability to deal with people beyond giving and receiving instructions.&nbsp; Must be adaptable to performing under stress and when confronted with emergency situations.</li>\n   <li>Ability to exercise considerable tact and courtesy in frequent contact with the public.</li>\n   <li>Requires the ability to record and deliver information, explain procedures, to follow oral and written instructions.</li>\n   <li>Skilled in assessment and using its data for teaching and learning.</li>\n   <li>Understanding the growth and development of assigned students.</li>\n   <li>Experience with Professional Learning Communities (PLCs).</li>\n   <li>Experience with Smartboard© and other forms of technology.</li>\n  </ul>\n </div>\n <div>\n  <b>Physical Requirements</b>\n </div>\n <div>\n  <ul>\n   <li>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear.&nbsp;</li>\n   <li>The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, or crouch.&nbsp;</li>\n   <li>The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Must be able to perform light work exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or up 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
