We look ahead to what’s next, helping clients grow and innovate with confidence.</p>\n<h2><b>Key Responsibilities</b></h2>\n<li>API Architecture & Integration Delivery\n <ul>\n  <li>Designs, develops, and maintains RESTful and GraphQL APIs for financial services integration </li>\n  <li>Builds middleware solutions enabling connectivity across payment gateways, processors, and banking partners </li>\n  <li>Develops developer-friendly SDKs (Python, Java, Node.js) to accelerate partner integrations </li>\n  <li>Maintains comprehensive API documentation using Swagger/OpenAPI standards </li>\n </ul></li>\n<li>Payments & Financial Data Processing\n <ul>\n  <li>Integrates with payment gateways, card processors, and ACH/wire providers to support end-to-end transaction flows </li>\n  <li>Designs and supports real-time ledger systems for transaction tracking, balances, and settlements </li>\n  <li>Builds ETL pipelines for financial data processing, reconciliation, and reporting </li>\n  <li>Optimizes payment, settlement, and reconciliation workflows for performance and accuracy </li>\n </ul></li>\n<li>Security, Risk & Regulatory Compliance\n <ul>\n  <li>Implements secure authentication mechanisms including OAuth 2.0, JWT, and API key frameworks </li>\n  <li>Ensures adherence to PCI-DSS, SOC 2, GDPR, and financial data protection standards </li>\n  <li>Partners with risk and compliance teams to align APIs with regulatory expectations including KYC/AML considerations </li>\n  <li>Embeds secure design principles across all integration layers and data exchanges </li>\n </ul></li>\n<li>Platform Reliability & Scalability\n <ul>\n  <li>Designs high-availability systems with redundancy, failover, and resilience built into integration layers </li>\n  <li>Implements observability practices including monitoring, logging, and alerting for API performance </li>\n  <li>Drives scalable architecture decisions leveraging event-driven design and asynchronous processing </li>\n  <li>Utilizes message brokers such as Kafka or RabbitMQ to support distributed systems </li>\n </ul></li>\n<li>Cross-Functional Collaboration & Support\n <ul>\n  <li>Partners with Product Managers to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions </li>\n  <li>Supports customer success and integration teams in troubleshooting API issues and partner onboarding </li>\n  <li>Collaborates with engineering, operations, and compliance stakeholders to ensure seamless platform connectivity </li>\n  <li>Contributes to continuous improvement of integration standards, tooling, and best practices</li>\n </ul></li>\n<h2><b>Qualification Requirements</b></h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience </li>\n <li>7+ years of experience in financial services with 3–5+ years focused on API development and integration in fintech, banking-as-a-service, or payments </li>\n <li>Strong expertise in RESTful and GraphQL APIs, middleware integration patterns, and developer enablement (SDKs, documentation) </li>\n <li>Hands-on experience with authentication protocols including OAuth 2.0, JWT, and API key frameworks </li>\n <li>Proven experience integrating payment systems, card processors, and ACH/wire networks </li>\n <li>Deep understanding of PCI-DSS, SOC 2, GDPR, and secure financial data handling, including KYC/AML considerations </li>\n <li>Experience designing scalable, high-availability systems with observability, monitoring, and failover capabilities </li>\n <li>Proficiency in event-driven architecture, asynchronous processing, and message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ) </li>\n <li>Experience with integration platforms and tools such as IBM API Connect, DataPower, IBM ACE, or WebMethods </li>\n <li>Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, PrivateLink) and embedded finance, digital banking, or lending platforms </li>\n <li>Strong cross-functional collaboration, communication, and project ownership skills, including risk awareness within a banking environment</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>What Success Looks Like</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>API integrations deliver high uptime, low latency, and seamless partner connectivity.</li>\n <li>Payment and settlement processes operate with accuracy, scalability, and minimal reconciliation issues.</li>\n <li>All integrations meet or exceed regulatory and security standards with no compliance gaps.</li>\n <li>Developer experience improves through clear documentation and reliable SDKs.</li>\n <li>Cross-functional teams report efficient onboarding and reduced integration friction.</li>\n <li>Platform reliability improves through observability, monitoring, and proactive issue resolution.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Why This Role Matters</strong></p>\n<p>This role is critical to enabling Bancorp’s embedded finance and payments strategy by ensuring reliable, secure connectivity across partners and platforms.
