text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">SUMMARY OF POSITION: </span></span></p>\n<p><span>To cover the Transportation Specialist duties in providing scheduled transportation runs in a College-provided vehicle for Ilisagvik College students and staff, if needed.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: </strong></span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Ability to work nights and weekends. </span><span> </span></li>\n<li><span>Maintains daily log of van mileage and number of passengers. </span><span> </span></li>\n<li><span>Reports incidents involving riders to Dean of Students. </span><span> </span></li>\n<li><span>Completes incident reports/accident reports and submits to Dean within 24 hours. </span><span> </span></li>\n<li><span>Assists in developing biweekly schedule of drivers and submits schedule. </span><span> </span></li>\n<li><span>Provides light duty maintenance tasks, as needed, keeps gas tanks filled, tires aired, oil checked, and windows cleaned. </span><span> </span></li>\n<li><span>Maintains vehicle Gas Log. </span><span> </span></li>\n<li><span>Checks out and returns gas chip key with receipts the same day. </span><span> </span></li>\n<li><span>Stores van materials in and docks vehicle at the end of shift at the designated location. </span><span> </span></li>\n<li><span>Reports anomalies in running condition of vehicles. </span><span> </span></li>\n<li><span>Schedules repairs with fleet manager as needed. </span><span> </span></li>\n<li><span>Assists in developing and submitting van schedule based on classes offered each semester, and College related transportation needs, including airport runs to Dean. </span><span> </span></li>\n<li><span>Assists in the monthly report of clients served that is due to Dean one week prior to Cabinet Meeting each month. </span><span> </span></li>\n<li><span>Complies with College policies, procedures and administrative directives, as well as state, federal, and local laws, regulations, and ordinances. </span><span> </span></li>\n<li><span>Performs other related duties as assigned.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; text-decoration: underline\"><strong>KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:</strong></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Ability to provide clean, current DMV record.</span><span> </span></li>\n<li><span>Demonstrated work experience working in student settings.</span><span> </span></li>\n<li><span>Good oral and interpersonal communication skills.</span><span> </span></li>\n<li><span>Ability to pass random drug screens.</span><span> </span></li>\n<li><span>Demonstrated ability to interact effectively in a multicultural environment, including working with various cultural organizations.</span><span> </span></li>\n<li><span>Demonstrated stable employment history.</span><span> </span></li>\n<li><span>Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.</span></li>\n<li><span>Ability to work a flexible work schedule.</span><span> </span></li>\n<li><span>Ability <span style=\"font-size: 15px\">to pass a pre-employment background check.</span></span><br></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Demonstrated knowledge in one or more of the following areas: post-secondary educational systems, North Slope Borough [NSB] institutions and organizations;
