          "text": "<p>Timmons Group is currently seeking an experienced and focused <strong>Landscape Architect Senior Project Manager</strong> in our <strong>Richmond, VA</strong> office to work on exciting projects across Central Virginia. Our award-winning landscape architecture and land planning team offers an extensive range of services for commercial, mixed-use, parks and open space, energy and renewables, campus and institution, multi-family, and government clients across multiple markets. With a multidisciplinary approach spanning from concept to construction, we create high-performing and beautiful landscapes across all design scales, serving diverse markets and clients.</p><p>As <strong>Senior Project Manager</strong>, you will successfully manage all phases of work, collaborate with external consultants on high-profile projects, and mentor team members in professional growth, development, and career advancement. Candidates should be passionate about the built environment, self-motived, love design at all levels, and comfortable working in a collaborative studio culture. We have a sincere commitment to giving responsibility to our designers and providing opportunities for mentorship and career growth.</p><p><strong>Essential Roles and Responsibilities</strong> of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:</p><p>&#xa0;</p><p><strong>Project and Task Management (55-65%)</strong></p><ul><li>Manage and supervise internal landscape architecture and civil engineer project teams with planning, site layout, and landscape design documents.</li><li>Manage external consultants and project teams with planning, site layout, and construction documents.</li><li>Maintain and develop client relationships.</li><li>Collaborate with Directors to coordinate concept visioning sessions.</li><li>Provide QA/QC from concept to documentation.</li><li>Work closely with project managers to maintain project deadlines, budgets, milestones, deliverables, and communicate this information to team members.</li></ul><p><strong>Design and Technical Production (5-15%)</strong></p><ul><li>Collaborate with project managers and team members on a variety of project types and scales.</li><li>Assist project teams with development of design documents through all phases of work.</li><li>Assist teams in preparing construction cost estimates.</li><li>Assist teams in preparing specifications.</li><li>Communicate with external vendors throughout the design process.</li><li>Participate in construction administration responsibilities.</li></ul><p><strong>Department Operations (10-15%)</strong></p><ul><li>Collaborate with the Directors to cultivate innovation, design initiatives, standards, and structure for the landscape architecture department.</li><li>Coordinate with Directors and firm leadership on strategic planning and visioning and set clear business strategy for the landscape architecture department.</li><li>Collaborate with project managers and design team to develop systems of organization.</li><li>Mentor staff in professional growth, development, and career advancement; advocate for landscape architecture at Timmons Group.</li></ul><p><strong>Marketing and Business Development (10-15%)</strong></p><ul><li>Develop design proposals for private development work.</li><li>Develop responses to public RFPs and qualifications-based proposals and prepare presentations and interview for prospective work.</li><li>Assist Marketing and Director to build Timmons Group brand recognition, positioning, and impact through business development, awards, and market awareness.</li><li>Build and maintain strong A/E partnerships and teaming relationships to position for strategic projects and pursuits.</li></ul><p><strong>Administrative Management, Marketing, and Training (10-20%)</strong></p><ul><li>Attend weekly and monthly meetings to coordinate projects and workplans.</li><li>Review project budgets, coordinate billing and invoicing, and analyze monthly reports.</li><li>Participate in recruitment, training, and onboarding of new employees.</li><li>Engage in training and professional development opportunities.</li><li>Act as an advocate and committed mentor for Timmons Group’s next generation of talent; build talent pipeline through recruiting and outreach with local design communities and universities.</li></ul><p><strong>Skills/Requirements</strong> of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:</p><ul><li>Bachelor or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited program.</li><li>A minimum of 12 years’ professional experience in landscape architecture is preferred.</li><li>Professional registration as a Virginia Licensed Landscape Architect or ability to obtain reciprocity quickly.</li><li>Team player with excellent design, graphic, communication, and presentation skills.</li><li>Well organized and detail oriented.</li><li>Experience in producing high-quality concept presentations and documentation sets.</li><li>Experience of project accounting and demonstrated ability to manage project schedules and budgets.</li><li>Experience in construction administration and specifications.</li><li>Experience in business development and client development.</li><li>Experience with both in-office and remote project management.</li><li>Knowledge in design software including AutoCAD, Land F/X, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, and 3D modeling programs.</li><li>Understanding of Microsoft Suite applications, BlueBeam PDF, and construction management software(s).</li><li>LEED or SITES Accreditation is preferred but not required.</li></ul><p><strong>Compensation:</strong>&#xa0;Our best estimate of the salary range for this position is $120,000-$160,000. Offers are based on a range of job-related factors such as internal equity, experience, skills, education, credentials and role complexity.</p>",
