Our assurance solutions provide confidence and total peace of mind that a client's operating procedures, systems and people are functioning properly to provide a competitive advantage in the marketplace.</p><p><strong>What are we looking for?</strong></p><p>Are you an experienced&nbsp;ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 Auditor looking for a full-time opportunity?&nbsp;Intertek, a leading provider of ATIC (Assurance, Testing, Inspection, and Certification) Services, is looking for an IATF16949:2016 3rd party Lead Auditor to join our Business Assurance team.&nbsp;&nbsp;By joining&nbsp;Intertek, your contributions will be valued as we continue to help&nbsp;the world&nbsp;<i>Build&nbsp;Back&nbsp;Ever&nbsp;Better.</i>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>This will be a travel-based&nbsp;position, with extensive travel to client sites required. Candidate must be comfortable travelling 3 to 5 nights per week.&nbsp; This is a remote position; however, applicants must reside in and be able to legally work in the United States.&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Salary &amp; Benefits Information</strong></p><p>Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons. &nbsp;</p><p>In addition to competitive compensation packages, when working with Intertek you can expect benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k) with company match, generous vacation / sick time (PTO), tuition reimbursement and more.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>What you’ll do:</strong></p><ul><li>The Auditor will support the Business Assurance business by leading and/or participating as an assessor during all phases of a client's Management System (IATF 16949 and ISO 9001) in accordance with the company's accredited certification program.</li><li>The Lead Auditor is the primary interface with the client before and during the process of all auditing activities.</li><li>Lead Auditor will help train low graded auditors through witness audits, technical support, and education of both client and sales force as needed.</li><li>Strong leadership and management qualities are required in addition to the technical expertise necessary to perform audit assignments.</li><li>Lead Auditor will have extensive interaction with clients in an evaluation and audit capacity so tasks and duties shall be commensurate with the duties listed below.</li><li>Audit client management systems for compliance with established standards, client, and/or industry requirements, government regulations, and other relevant standards, regulatory requirements for the US, Canada, Japan, Australia, and/or Brazil, and/or GMP regulatory requirements related to the relevant industry.</li><li>&nbsp;Audit client company's quality systems for compliance with established standards.&nbsp; Standards may include:&nbsp; ISO9001, ISO-14001, IATF16949, FSSC, Third Party Cert Programs, OSHA, Client Company Requirements, Industry Requirements, Governmental Regulations, etc.&nbsp; This list is not exhaustive.</li><li>Assist clients with questions relevant to the audit and/or certification process.</li><li>Review client company’s quality system documentation.&nbsp; Address areas of non-conformity.</li><li>Assist in coordinating activities with other assessment team members including audit check sheets.</li><li>Verify and document evidence of compliance and non-compliance.&nbsp; Write comprehensive reports on the audit findings.</li><li>Review audit results with coordinator and other assessment team members.&nbsp; Make presentations to clients and/or certification board concerning audit results when requested.</li><li>May provide consultation and/or training both internally and externally on related quality issues/topics.</li><li>Assist with corrective action requirements that result from the assessment of surveillance audit reports.</li><li>Assist with technical writing and development of programs supporting the company.</li><li>Participate in audit meetings and process.</li><li>Follow rules of conduct and operating procedures as stated in the Intertek Employee Handbook, SC Manual, Safety Manual, and all other sources defining the performance of Intertek employees.</li><li>Comply with internal and external safety rules, including the proper use of safety equipment, as they apply to the job.</li><li>Manage multi-facility clientele programs, organize and oversee the assessment process in regard to assigned multi-facility clientele.</li><li>Act as Lead Auditor or team member.</li><li>Coordinate audit activity with team members.</li><li>Liaison with client regarding audit activity.</li><li>Review client's quality management system documentation.</li><li>Prepare audit report.</li><li>Review audit results with coordinator and other assessment team members. Make presentations to clients and/or certification board concerning audit results, when required.</li><li>Assist with corrective action requirements resulting from assessments.</li><li>Travel will include overnight/multiple days, to various worksites and client locations.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><i>This position outline is a general guideline and does not represent all encompassing details. The position assumes that the incumbent has both the mental and physical requirements to carry out the above defined duties.&nbsp;&nbsp;</i></p><p><strong>Minimum Requirements &amp; Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>4 years of full time appropriate practical experience (including 2 years dedicated to Quality Assurance and/or Quality Management activities) within the past 15 years in an automotive manufacturing organization. Experience in industries with similar scopes of applicability (e.g., Aerospace, Telecommunications, Rail, Industrial Off-Road equipment, etc.) in chemical, electrical, or metallic commodities may be considered.</li><li>Working Knowledge of the principles and practices of&nbsp; ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.</li><li>Demonstrated Knowledge of automotive core tools.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, in the agreed language of the assessment/audit assignments.</li><li>Ability to work well in an environment and react effectively in stressful situations.</li><li>Sound judgment and analytical skills.</li><li>Ability to understand complex operations in broad perspective.</li><li>Ability to obtain and assess factual information fairly.</li><li>Must have strong leadership abilities.</li><li>Ability to exercise effective time management in completion of assignments.</li><li>Possess a valid unrestricted driver’s license and the ability to operate a motor vehicle in the performance of the official duties of the position.</li><li>Ability to travel to work sites for varying duration’s as job dictates.</li><li><strong>This is a remote position; however, applicants must reside in and be able to legally work in the United States.&nbsp;</strong></li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Preferred:</strong></p><ul><li>Successful completion of Accreditted Lead Auditor training is a plus. &nbsp;</li><li>IRCA or RABQS Assessor Certification is a plus.</li><li>CQA, CQE Certification is a plus.&nbsp;</li><li>Qualified by the IATF to conduct IATF 16949 audits as a Third Party Auditor.</li><li>Ability to travel internationally</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:</strong></p><ul><li>Ability to communicate and interact effectively in both verbal and written format.</li><li>Ability to view, read and comprehend a variety of reports and manuals of a technical nature, computer screen, etc.</li><li>Physical dexterity to perform assessment functions which are inherent to the position, such as investigating all areas of client facilities which requires bending/stooping, reaching, climbing, etc.</li><li>Mobility to travel by auto and airplane.</li><li>Ability to be on your feet, walking, for typical full shifts of 6 - 8 hours.</li><li>Exposure to various industrial environments.</li><li>The ability to ascend or descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms.</li><li>The ability to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word. Must be able to convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.</li><li>The ability to perceive the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction.
