    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><p><br></p><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>Summary</strong></p><p>Under the direction of the Fabrication Supervisor, the <strong>Welder</strong> is responsible to weld components&nbsp;and assemble structural forms according to blueprints, ensuring companies goals and objectives are met while adhering to the values of integrity, safety, respect, quality and delivery.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</strong></p><p><em>This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.</em></p><ul><li>Analyzes engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, sketches, work orders, and material safety data sheets to plan layout, assembly, and welding operations</li><li>Lay out, position, align, secure parts, and assemblies prior to assembly using straightedges, combination squares, calipers, and rulers</li><li>Selects proper tooling and fixturing for job. Plans sequence of steps to perform duties</li><li>Interpret weld symbols</li><li>Assembles metal parts or products</li><li>Prepares all material surfaces to be welded, ensuring that there is no loose or thick scale, slag, rust, moisture, grease, or other foreign matter</li><li>Operates various welding, soldering or brazing equipment. Operates hoist, cranes, riggings, dollies and trucks to move equipment from one location to another</li><li>Cleans work pieces or finished products</li><li>Marks or tags material with proper job number, piece marks, and other identifying marks as required.</li><li>Uses various precision measuring equipment to check work</li><li>Examines/measures work pieces for defects and with straightedges or blueprints to ensure conformance with specifications</li><li>Correctly fills out all paperwork associated with your job per procedure</li><li>Completes job to specifications and in a timely manner</li><li>Complies with all safety and sanitation regulations</li><li>Performs other manufacturing duties as assigned</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><p><em>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</em></p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Education and/or Experience</strong></p><ul class=\"decimal_type\"><li>High school diploma or equivalent required; or demonstrated extensive welding experience</li><li>Welding certification desired</li><li>2+ years of related experience with .045 wire welding recommended&nbsp;</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Other skills</strong></p><ul><li>Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing process</li><li>Previous OSHA safety training and strong safety aptitude</li><li>Strong interpersonal and teambuilding skills&ndash; ability to work well with individuals from diverse backgrounds and experiences&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to read, understand and interpret manufacturing documents &ndash; including blueprints</li><li>Working knowledge using a tape measure&nbsp;</li><li>Working knowledge of Continuous Improvement practices and procedures &ndash; preferably Lean Manufacturing and 6S</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Language Skills</strong></p><p>Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos.&nbsp;Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, production schedules, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.&nbsp;Ability to communicate effectively with other employees of the organization.
