    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>The Financial Analyst will support management of the MLS player budget and work closely with the Player Relations Department on all financial matters related to player transactions.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Act as a liaison between Finance and Player Relations.</li>\n <li>Support preparation of the player budget.</li>\n <li>Review of all player expenses as it relates to the Club Salary Budgets.</li>\n <li>Review of all player revenues as it relates to outgoing transfers and loans.</li>\n <li>Support Accounting during monthly close and settlement process, including review of player related items. </li>\n <li>Manage trackers and projections for programs and initiatives.</li>\n <li>Work with Player Relations Department during year-end review of player compensation.</li>\n <li>Support preparation of the player projection for the cash flow statement. </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><u>Additional Responsibilities</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Support Vice President on projects and ad hoc analysis and reporting.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s Degree Required, Accounting and/or Finance preferred.</li>\n <li>2-4 years of experience.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><u>Required Skills</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Strong financial and accounting skills.</li>\n <li>Superior organization, project management skills and attention to detail with the ability to analyze from a macro level.</li>\n <li>Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally collaboratively across multiple departments.</li>\n <li>Ability to build strong working relationships.</li>\n <li>Adherence to confidentiality.</li>\n <li>High level of commitment to quality work product and organizational ethics, integrity, and compliance.</li>\n <li>Ability to work effectively and independently in a fast paced, team environment.</li>\n <li>Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally.</li>\n <li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (including Excel, PowerPoint).</li>\n <li>Demonstrated decision making and problem-solving skills.</li>\n <li>Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><u>Desired Skills</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP (or similar ERPs).</li>\n <li>Knowledge of the sport of soccer.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><u>Total Rewards</u></strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Major League Soccer offers a competitive starting base salary of $66,500 - $77,500, based on individual qualifications, market financials, and operational business needs.
