    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>The Student Wellness and Disabilities Coordinator reports to and works closely with the Director, Student Mental Health Services to manage student wellness and accommodation issues for the Graduate School of Education. The Coordinator engages in short term counseling, referrals, and follow-up services to provide a personalized, high touch, and customized response to address individual students. In providing support to students, this position will need to collaborate with faculty and partner offices. As the Office of Disability Coordinator, the candidate will be the gate keeper that reviews and accepts applications, evaluates documentations and provides reasonable accommodations to students with documented disabilities.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Case Management:\n  <ul>\n   <li>Respond to queries from students, staff and faculty, related to concerns about students in distress, medical leaves, and/or the navigation of Touro University's resources</li>\n   <li>Provide ongoing case-management for students in various stages of distress and need, including meeting individually with students to support their progress and provide referrals to services within the university</li>\n   <li>Follow-up and track cases to ensure student compliance with recommendations and adequate support</li>\n   <li>Manage student cases that come through faculty referrals including collecting, evaluating and updating information</li>\n   <li>Conduct meetings with students</li>\n   <li>Provide short-term counseling, crisis intervention & wellness resources to students living off-campus</li>\n   <li>Create a supportive wellness program for students returning from medical leave of absence, in partnership with the Program Chairs and faculty, to facilitate a smooth transition</li>\n   <li>Provides on-going support to students returning from medical leave to create a plan for successful completion of the semester or review options such as leaves of absences</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Outreach, Training, and Education:\n  <ul>\n   <li>Work with student groups focused on health & wellness initiatives</li>\n   <li>Assist partner offices in developing and implementing programs that disseminate information and promote student wellness (ie webinars, orientation)</li>\n   <li>Assist in training and advising faculty, staff, and students on managing and responding to students of concern</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Other Related Duties:\n  <ul>\n   <li>Assist in college-wide events and programs</li>\n   <li>Provide support as requested during emergent situations</li>\n   <li>Other duties as assigned</li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<h4>Education/Experience</h4>\n<ul>\n <li>Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or related field required.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Knowledge/Skills/Abilities</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be able to assess situations quickly and triage objectively, and serve as an authority to relevant resources and devise solutions efficiently.</li>\n <li>Must possess excellent emotional and interpersonal intelligence, the ability to navigate difficult and ambiguous situations, and manage sensitive and confidential information.</li>\n <li>Must be able to relay information clearly through excellent writing and oral communication skills.</li>\n <li>Must be self-initiating and independent.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul></ul>\n<ul></ul>\n<h2>Maximum Salary</h2>USD $64,220.00/Yr.\n<h2>Minimum Salary</h2>USD $51,376.00/Yr.",
