Even if you feel like you don’t meet all the criteria, please give it a shot, and still apply.  </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Basic Function</span> </p>\n<p>Manages projects and acts as liaison between Dave Steel Company and customer during the course of a project</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Responsibilities</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Manages all aspects of assigned projects</li>\n<li>Review and understand contracts, terms and conditions, scope of work, subcontract items, billing requirements, etc.</li>\n<li>Conduct project meetings with Sales/Estimating, Drafting, and Purchasing to review job requirements, target deliveries, advance shipments, sequencing and purchased items</li>\n<li>Tracks and monitors the process and progress of raw material orders.</li>\n<li>Performs budget and contract scope analysis of Misc. Metals, Decking, Grating, etc. and issues their applicable Purchase Orders.</li>\n<li>Reviews buy out and commodity items relative to project to insure furnished in accordance with contract documents</li>\n<li>Lead and direct the project detailers</li>\n<li>Manage the financials related to the project including twice monthly reporting to the Director of Projects and the Executive team.</li>\n<li>Complete weekly reporting to the customer and internally.</li>\n<li>Manages the process and progress of shop drawings.</li>\n<li>Reviews approved drawings/models for changes which might warrant adjustments to the contract.</li>\n<li>Create, maintain overall project schedule with all key dates and milestones.</li>\n<li>Provide regularly issued schedule updates as required by customer</li>\n<li>Review revised design drawings, RFI’s and other communications for cost and schedule impacts</li>\n<li>Issue and manage change order requests to customer</li>\n<li>Produce and issue monthly billings for assigned projects</li>\n<li>Field all calls from customers/vendors.</li>\n<li>Respond to field issues and involve necessary personnel to resolve problem professionally and efficiently</li>\n<li>Advise DSCO Sales on developments that have bearing on relationships with customers.</li>\n<li>Develop good working relationships with customers.</li>\n<li>Note customers’ dissatisfactions and suggest methods for improving</li>\n<li>Review and process subcontractor and vendor invoices</li>\n<li>Attend production meetings to update information to necessary personnel</li>\n<li>Maintains Order Status Reports with real-time information.</li>\n<li>Other duties as assigned by Director of Projects</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications</span></p>\n<p>Knowledge of structural steel fabrication and general construction practices</p>\n<p>Knowledge of applicable codes and standards including AISC Code of Standard Practice, AISC Steel Specification, RCSC, AWS, etc.</p>\n<p>5 years minimum experience on projects of 1000-5000 tons.</p>\n<p>Positive track record of project completion.</p>\n<p>Full understanding of the change order process.</p>\n<p>BS degree in engineering or construction management preferred but not required.</p>\n<p>Ability to work to deadlines.</p>\n<p>Professional written and oral communication skills are required.</p>\n<p>Proficient computer skills are required.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Benefits</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>401(k) Retirement Plan</li>\n<li>401(k) Matching Contributions</li>\n<li>Health Insurance</li>\n<li>Dental Insurance</li>\n<li>Vision Insurance</li>\n<li>Life Insurance</li>\n<li>Paid Time Off (PTO)</li>\n<li>Employee Assistance Program (EAP)</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>",
