We want to talk with you! </strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Registered Nurse - MDS Coordinator:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Oversees, reviews and/or completes the MDS/PPS components of the facility based MDS/PPS departments. </li>\n <li>Completes and/or oversees completion of all Medicare PPS MDS and/or OBRA assessments for both subacute and long-term care. </li>\n <li>Establishes the schedule for completion of the Medicare required assessments setting the completion date to maximize reimbursement and RUGs categories for each individual assessment. </li>\n <li>Acts as support/liaison to the business office coordinator and/or designee in determining eligibility for Medicare and tracking Medicare days in the facility. </li>\n <li>Serves as facility contact with Managed Care providers to ensure appropriate authorization and reimbursement for facility services provided.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Why Join Us at Elderwood?</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Competitive Salary:</strong> We offer competitive pay rates commensurate with experience.</li>\n <li><strong>Comprehensive Benefits </strong><em>401K</em> PLUS Employer <em>Matching, </em>Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Flex Spending Account</li>\n <li><strong>Work-Life Balance:</strong> Flexible scheduling </li>\n <li><strong>Professional Growth:</strong> Opportunities for continuing education, certification programs, and career advancement.</li>\n <li><strong>Supportive Environment:</strong> Work with a dedicated team in a positive and respectful atmosphere.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>In Addition:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Increased Tuition <strong><em>Reimbursement</em> </strong>Program for Clinical Tracks </li>\n <li><strong><em>Paid</em> </strong>Time Off, Sick Pay and Holiday Pay</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>As a Coordinator:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Participates and collaborates with Medical Records and Therapy staff in preparing records for CMS andvarious entities for pre and post-pay record reviews, ADR requests and appeals processes.</li>\n <li>Manages NYS RUGs III case mix for Medicaid reimbursement.</li>\n <li>Completes occasional travel between facilities and Elderwood Learning Center.</li>\n <li>Supervises MDS Coordinator(s), if designated.</li>\n <li>Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of all policies and procedures and ability to reference them.</li>\n <li>Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor, management staff or Administrator.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>From</h2>\n<h2>Up to</h2>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Registered Nurse</strong> with current license in state employed</li>\n <li>Prior experience with MDS 3.0 scheduling, coding and submission requirements preferred</li>\n <li>Experience with PointClickCare preferred</li>\n <li>Experience with Patient Driven Payment Model (PDPM) and Case Mix Index (CMI) preferred</li>\n <li>Experience with state Medicaid program, Medicare/PPS program, Managed Care programs, RUGs III and RUGs IV classification and reimbursement systems, Part A coverage</li>\n <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li>\n <li>Self-motivated, highly organized, and dedicated</li>\n <li>Willing to train the right candidate</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>This position requires regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors.
