We offer <u>competitive pay and benefits, and well-being programs</u> to support you and your family.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>To Learn More Visit: http://www.geosyntec.com/careers/.</p>\n<h2>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Manage construction projects and maintenance activities on multiple moderately complex multi-million-dollar projects from conceptual design to completion with primary responsibility for safety, quality, schedule and cost.</li>\n <li>Manage a dedicated construction organization to ensure that project and maintenance activities are completed for the customer safely, on schedule, within budget and at the appropriate quality level. </li>\n <li>Contact supervisors daily to provide management direction and receive feedback. </li>\n <li>Provide concise and accurate presentations to internal and external customers regarding construction status, including complex technical, organizational and financial issues. </li>\n <li>Conduct considerably complex analysis of problems involving construction activities. </li>\n <li>Develop innovative alternative action strategies enabling the early achievement of milestones.</li>\n <li>Perform risk analyses and provide decision authority for defining and approving corrective actions and establishing priorities. </li>\n <li>Ensure that construction efficiency is optimized by providing efficient construction input and involvement in projects throughout the conceptual design phases, construction, turnover and the completion phases of each project.</li>\n <li>Manage established costs, schedule and technical baselines and provide effective management of project staff and matrix personnel to control baselines. </li>\n <li>Manage professional and nonexempt employees to include career development, motivation, performance review and salary administration. </li>\n <li>Foster a \"team concept\" when interfacing with Operations, the Department of Energy, other departments and divisions and attend scheduled and unscheduled meetings, provide reports, status construction activities and identify, address and resolve complex problems.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Education and Licensure</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and at least 13 years (13-15 years preferred) of practical experience in construction or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required; an associate degree and at least 15 years (15-17 years preferred) of practical experience; or a high school diploma and at least 17 years (17-19 years preferred) of practical experience are considered equivalent. </li>\n <li>In-depth knowledge of construction, cost and scheduling, subcontract administration and the ability to develop or evaluate construction strategies and techniques.</li>\n <li>Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of project management and project planning at the tactical level and knowledge of operations, maintenance, or project startup and construction management and construction subcontracts is preferred.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Skills, Experience and Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Satisfactory results of a pre-employment screening, which includes a background check and drug screening in accordance with Federal requirements (details below),</li>\n <li>Due to federal contract security requirements, this position requires U.S. Citizenship. </li>\n <li>Due to federal contract security requirements, candidates must be able to successfully pass a federal background investigation to secure and maintain DOE Q security clearance. </li>\n <li>Successful candidates will be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation. Federal contractors must follow Federal drug-free workplace rules, which prohibit marijuana use, even if medical or recreational use is permitted under State Law. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & LOCATION DETAILS:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Candidates who have possessed an active DOE clearance (L or Q) within the past two (2) years are preferred.</li>\n <li>Experience with large construction projects and working with DOE/NNSA.</li>\n <li>Multifaceted in all construction activities.</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of CAD and/or SmartPlant.</li>\n <li>Aiken, SC – Onsite Position</li>\n <li>Duration of the Contract: One (1) Year with the option to extend for one (1) additional one (1) year option years in accordance with the attached job title</li>\n <li>2080 ST 350 OT</li>\n <li>This position will start with day shift, and after turnover, it will shift to a night schedule Mon- Thurs Approx 7:00pm-5:30am EST +/- 2 hrs</li>\n <li>Onsite or Remote? 100% onsite.
