Underpinning the organization’s purpose-driven agenda is a diversification of the league, with the goal of immediately progressing gender equity and inclusivity.</span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><br><br></span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">SailGP is a global organisation with defined values that shape the culture of its team – Deliver Quality and Consistency; Evolve with Focus; Make it Count; Stand Together and Strike a Balance. <br></span><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Summary:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">We are currently recruiting for a full-time</span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\"> Health and Safety Manager </span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">(9 month fixed term) </span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">to support our existing Risk department to play a critical role in delivering our risk and safety strategy and framework across land facilities and water operations throughout the global SailGP Championship. </span></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">The successful individual will work with a wide range of stakeholders including competing team CEOs, SailGP Head of Departments and day-to-day operational managers, and must be able to demonstrate where they have driven organisations towards a healthy risk management culture whilst continuing to be very hands on and a ‘do-er’ who will operate on the ground.</span><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Essential Responsibilities: <br><br></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(34, 34, 34); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Events:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(34, 34, 34); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Travel to selected events and integrate into day-to-day operations, with a primary focus on the build and de-rig of race stadium infrastructure. Provide risk and safety support to Event Risk Owners, including guidance on best practice, implementation of risk management processes, and effective use of risk tools to ensure clear and transparent data reporting.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(34, 34, 34); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Use insights gathered from on-site activities and stakeholder engagement to maintain and continuously improve the SailGP Event Risk Profile.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(34, 34, 34); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Undertake due diligence on third-party contractors, including thorough review and evaluation of Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) for complex temporary structures such as grandstands and hospitality units.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(34, 34, 34); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Provide expert guidance on Construction (Design and Management) regulations, ensuring all principal contractors and site activities comply with statutory requirements and industry standards.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(34, 34, 34); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Conduct incident investigations ensuring proper process and best practice throughout, communicate findings and recommendations, action outcomes and maintain appropriate record keeping </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(34, 34, 34); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Audit and evaluate existing policies and processes to find weaknesses that lead to event risk<br><br></span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(34, 34, 34); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Boatbuilding Manufacturing Facility Safety Management:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(34, 34, 34); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">When not deployed at events, lead Health &amp; Safety for the boatbuilding manufacturing facility. Oversee and continuously improve key safety areas including risk assessments, hazardous substances (COSHH), machinery safety, manual handling, fire safety, work at height, PPE, noise control, emergency preparedness, training and compliance, and waste management.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(34, 34, 34); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Work closely with the Facilities Management team to support safe site operations and maintain a compliant, efficient working environment.<br><br></span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(34, 34, 34); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">General:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(34, 34, 34); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Lead thorough incident investigations, ensuring a consistent, best practice approach.
