    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p>Swan Valley Co-op is hiring a Summer Student: Yard Labourer at our Home and Building location in The Pas, MB.</p><p><span><strong>Core Function</strong></span></p><p>The Summer Student: Yard reports to the Store Manager and is responsible for maintaining the Home Centre yard, grounds and equipment in a neat and orderly manner ensuring it’s safe for all team members and customers. The Summer Student: Yard will perform duties in accordance with the mission statement and policies/procedures of the Swan Valley Co-op Ltd. Position will be full time June 2025 through August 2025.</p><p><span style=\"color: black;\"><span style=\"line-height: 115%;\"><strong>What you'll do:</strong></span></span></p><p><span style=\"color: black;\"><span style=\"line-height: 115%;\">Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:</span></span></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc; padding-left: 48px;\"><li style=\"color: black;\"><span style=\"line-height: 115%;\">To adhere to our Co-op Values: </span><i><span style=\"line-height: 115%;\">Respect, Integrity, Community, Excellence</span></i></li><li style=\"color: black;\"><span style=\"line-height: 115%;\">Removing debris and other waste materials from the Home Centre property</span></li><li style=\"color: black;\"><span style=\"line-height: 115%;\">Basic grounds care, including mowing grass</span></li><li style=\"color: black;\"><span style=\"line-height: 115%;\">Organizing and sorting materials on the Home Centre property to improve appearance and safety</span></li><li style=\"color: black;\"><span style=\"line-height: 115%;\">Assist in the proper care and maintenance of all department equipment and maintain cleanliness and order of merchandise in the yard.</span></li><li style=\"color: black;\"><span style=\"line-height: 115%;\">Practice and maintain safe procedures for the handling and stocking of merchandise.</span></li><li style=\"color: black;\"><span style=\"line-height: 115%;\">Observe safety measures and report hazardous conditions immediately to the Yard Supervisor.</span></li><li style=\"color: black;\"><span style=\"line-height: 115%;\">Follow safe front-line loss prevention practices and maintain a constant alert against unauthorized removal of merchandise.&nbsp;</span></li><li style=\"color: black;\"><span style=\"line-height: 115%;\">Perform all other duties as assigned.</span></li><li style=\"color: black;\"><span style=\"line-height: 115%;\">To be a liaison and public relations representative for the Co-op within the communities we serve.</span></li></ul><p><span style=\"color: black;\"><span style=\"line-height: 115%;\">&nbsp;</span></span></p><p><span style=\"color: black;\"><span style=\"line-height: 115%;\"><strong>Why it matters:</strong></span></span></p><p><span style=\"color: black;\"><span style=\"line-height: 115%;\">Our team provides a range of products and services to support our member-owners.
