We are looking for someone that will support our mission to consistently deliver creative, high-quality, technology-based services to our customers on time and within budget.</p>\n<p> <br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What will you be doing?</span></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This position will be a key member of the Medium Caliber team.  Duties include:</p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n<li>Participate in Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings in person and via Microsoft Teams</li>\n<li>Create weapon designs and engineering drawings, analyze tolerance stack ups, ensure geometric dimensioning and tolerances are suitable for production</li>\n<li>Coordinate Technical Data Package (TDP) changes with design engineers</li>\n<li>Utilize CREO, Windchill and other software to develop and manage the desired TDP changes</li>\n<li>Develop structural analysis finite element models using ANSYS and or Abaqus</li>\n<li>Post process data from instrumented product testing to validate analysis results</li>\n<li>Processing engineering change proposals</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What skills will the ideal candidate have to be successful?</span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p>This position will require the following skillsets and experience:</p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n<li>ASME Drawing practices (Y14.3, Y14.100)</li>\n<li>Geometric Dimensioning &amp; Tolerances</li>\n<li>CAD Modeling and component design – CREO, SolidWorks or similar</li>\n<li>Engineering Analysis - ANSYS, ABAQUS, LMS Virtual Lab or similar (FEA contacting assemblies, bolted connections, non-linear, transient dynamic)</li>\n<li>Programming environments MATLAB, Simulink, Labview, Excel VBA, Python</li>\n<li>Data processing, analysis, visualization</li>\n<li>Elective undergraduate or graduate level coursework in structural analysis</li>\n<li>Understanding of different materials, heat treating, coatings</li>\n<li>Understanding of the manufacturing processes</li>\n<li>Welding processes and callouts</li>\n<li>Quality Assurance Provision preparations (or alternative approaches to traditional QAP)</li>\n<li>Entry level or 2-5 years of professional experience</li>\n<li>Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook at a minimum</li>\n<li>Excellent communication skills and writing skills</li>\n<li>Excellent at multi-tasking and understanding priorities</li>\n<li>Government or contractor experience a plus</li>\n<li>Must be able to obtain SECRET clearance and a CAC ID</li>\n<li>Must be a US Citizen with a valid driver’s license</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em> </em></p>\n<p>Read about our benefits here: <a href=\"https://nam11.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.utrs.com%2Four-benefits%2F&amp;data=05%7C02%7Ckselfridge%40utrs.com%7C47f934c95643425cb9a008dce7d48b3a%7C0a69be4bc2f741aaaef01a021fbaf824%7C1%7C0%7C638640147250945182%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C0%7C%7C%7C&amp;sdata=L54%2F0Uqp5jEUVg95CoBfwNzNqTUGPY%2FjP3Ecw8jcmzg%3D&amp;reserved=0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Our Benefits - UTRS | </a><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Always, Got Your Back</span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p>UTRS is an Equal Opportunity employer.
