The ideal candidate will have 5&ndash;6 years of hands-on experience in groundskeeping, operating heavy equipment, and performing basic electrical, plumbing, and carpentry tasks. A passion for outdoor work and a working knowledge of plants, bushes, and trees is essential.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Maintain landscaped areas, including planting, pruning and seasonal clean-up.</li><li>Operate and maintain heavy equipment such as tractors, skid steers, and other landscaping machinery.</li><li>Conduct minor repairs and maintenance in electrical, plumbing, and carpentry as needed.</li><li>Assist with irrigation system maintenance and troubleshooting.</li><li>Monitor plant health and recommend treatments or replacements as necessary.</li><li>Ensure all grounds and outdoor areas are safe, clean, and visually appealing.</li><li>Support seasonal projects such as snow removal, leaf cleanup, and storm preparation.</li><li>Collaborate with the Facilities team to support overall campus maintenance needs.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Minimum 5&ndash;6 years of experience in landscaping, lawn care, and general maintenance.</li><li>Proficient in operating heavy equipment and tractors.</li><li>Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.</li><li>Familiarity with plant care, including trees, shrubs, and flowers.</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.</li><li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license required</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Skills:</strong></p><ul><li>Knowledge of native plants and sustainable landscaping practices</li><li>Ability to safely operate landscaping equipment (mowers, trimmers, blowers)</li><li>Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain clean, well-kept grounds</li><li>Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor in outdoor conditions</li><li>Time management skills and ability to complete tasks efficiently</li><li>Dependability with strong attendance and punctuality</li><li>Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team</li><li>Basic problem-solving skills for routine maintenance issues</li><li>Good communication skills with supervisors and team members</li><li>Commitment to safety practices and procedures</li></ul><p class=\"msonormal\" style=\"margin-top: 16px; margin-bottom: 16px; line-height: normal;\"><br></p><p><br></p></div>\n",
