    "description": "<p>The Korte Company is seeking a Construction Project Engineer to join our team in Highland, IL or St. Louis, MO to work within our Project Management Group. This position will be responsible for collaboration with our Project Managers to help facilitate all aspects of our project.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><em>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS</em></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist with creation of the master project schedule, while incorporating design, submittals, fabrication and construction activities</li>\n<li>Facilitate flow of information among Owners, Designers, Preconstruction, Quality Assurance, Subcontractors/Suppliers and Field divisions</li>\n<li>Assist Project Manager with and document project coordination meetings</li>\n<li>Read and interpret contracts, terms, provisions, estimates, agreements, set up sheets, reports, specifications and plans to determine processing and completion procedures</li>\n<li>Work with Project Manager to set schedules and expedite the submittal review/approval process</li>\n<li>Create, manage, process and log RFIs and submittals</li>\n<li>Track potential changes through the request for change (RFC) system</li>\n<li>Identify and document close-out procedures including a checklist</li>\n<li>Prepare and provide owner with warranty letters, maintenance and operation manuals</li>\n<li>Travel to jobsites approximately once per month</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><em>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS</em></span></p>\n<p>The characteristics listed below are representative of those sought to perform this job successfully.</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong organization and time management skills</li>\n<li>Self-starter and motivated with minimal supervision</li>\n<li>Ability to prioritize and multi-task within time constraints</li>\n<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li>\n<li>Professional in actions and appearance</li>\n<li>Effective interactions with owners, subcontractors, employees and assistants</li>\n<li>Strong computer skills</li>\n<li>Previous experience with P6 is preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><em>EDUCATION + EXPERIENCE</em></span></p>\n<p>Qualified applicants will have:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Degree in Construction Management or Construction Engineering, Architecture, Civil or other related Engineering field</li>\n<li>2 years’ experience in similar role is required</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><em>GROWTH OPPORTUNITIES</em></span></p>\n<p>This role is part of the Project Management Career Path, and team members benefit from a structured Professional Development Plan (PDP) designed to support career growth.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Typical growth opportunities along this path include:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assistant Project Manager → Project Manager → Senior Project Manager</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><em>ABOUT THE KORTE COMPANY</em></span></p>\n<p>The Korte Company was founded in 1958 on the belief that professionalism, quality and value added services are fundamental to a successful company.  More than sixty years later, that philosophy has earned Korte the reputation for delivering high quality, responsive services to our clients nationwide.  Korte pursues large construction projects from offices in St. Louis, MO, Highland, IL, and Las Vegas, NV.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em>This position is eligible for our competitive pay and benefits package including annual discretionary bonus subject to company and individual performance.
