This role will also <strong>lead the upgrade</strong> of our current SharePoint environments to the latest supported version of Microsoft SharePoint, including planning, execution, testing, and post-migration support. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The ideal candidate will have strong experience in SharePoint architecture, farm administration, upgrades/migrations, and working closely with infrastructure and business teams.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>*** This job requisition is for potential upcoming work at AMERICAN SYSTEMS and does not represent a current opening. Qualified candidates will be contacted when the work becomes available. ***</strong></p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>As an AMERICAN SYSTEMS <strong>Lead</strong> <strong>SharePoint Administrator</strong>, you will:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Administer and support three SharePoint farms (development/test and production environments). </li>\n <li>Monitor system health, performance, and capacity planning. </li>\n <li>Plan and execute upgrade projects to the latest version of SharePoint, including: </li>\n <li>Upgrade assessment and roadmap development </li>\n <li>Infrastructure planning and design </li>\n <li>Migration of content databases and service applications </li>\n <li>Testing, validation, and end-user support </li>\n <li>Manage patching, cumulative updates, and security configurations. </li>\n <li>Configure and maintain service applications (Search, Managed Metadata, User Profile, etc.). </li>\n <li>Troubleshoot and resolve SharePoint-related issues across the environment. </li>\n <li>Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery strategies. </li>\n <li>Manage permissions, governance policies, and compliance requirements. </li>\n <li>Work with SQL DBAs to maintain SharePoint databases. </li>\n <li>Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical solutions. </li>\n <li>Document architecture, configurations, and operational procedures. </li>\n <li>Design, deploy, and manage virtualize infrastructure using VMware vSphere, including ESXI hosts and vCenter Server</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>U.S. Citizenship (Required)</li>\n <li>Top Secret clearance w/SCI eligibility </li>\n <li>Bachelor's degree (<em>additional years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree</em>)</li>\n <li>At least 8 years of hands-on SharePoint administration experience</li>\n <li>DoD 8140 IAT II-level certification (e.g. Security+ CE, or equivalent) </li>\n <li>Proven experience managing multi-server SharePoint farms</li>\n <li>Experience planning and executing SharePoint upgrades (<em>e.g., 2016/2019 to Subscription Edition or later</em>)</li>\n <li>Strong understanding of: \n  <ul>\n   <li>Windows Server administration </li>\n   <li>Active Directory integration </li>\n   <li>IIS configuration </li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>SQL Server for SharePoint </li>\n <li>Experience with PowerShell scripting for SharePoint administration</li>\n <li>Knowledge of SharePoint governance and best practices</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Key Competencies</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Strong problem-solving and analytical skills </li>\n <li>Excellent communication and documentation abilities </li>\n <li>Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects </li>\n <li>Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Pay Transparency Statement</h2>AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $140,000.00/Yr. - USD $170,000/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
