This role will focus on provision of engineering services during construction – including contract preparation, contract administration, and completion of field inspections.  The successful candidate will also apply construction knowledge into the design of municipal infrastructure - including roadworks, water systems, sanitary sewer systems, and storm drainage networks.  As a member of our team in Trail, you’ll have the opportunity to work on impactful projects throughout the Kootenays and apply your expertise in practical, client-centered ways.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Responsibilities</span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p>The primary responsibilities of this role include:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Conduct field surveys, inspections, and data collection to support design and construction.</li>\n<li>Prepare construction contracts and provide construction contract administration services.</li>\n<li>Complete construction inspections and reporting.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>In addition, this role will involve:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Design of infrastructure using AutoCAD Civil 3D, including creation of site grading plans, road design, and water/sewer/storm infrastructure plans and profiles.</li>\n<li>Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with project teams - including Engineers, technologists, and other professionals to achieve project goals.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What We’re Looking For</span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p>Our ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications, strengths and interests:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>5 – 10 years’ experience in a civil engineering technology role, preferably in a municipal infrastructure environment.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Graduate of a Civil Engineering Technology program.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Registered or eligible to register with ASTTBC as an Applied Science Technologist.</li>\n<li>Strong verbal (English) communication skills.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>An outgoing, positive personality with relationship-based perspective.</li>\n<li>Goal oriented with ambition for continuous improvement and increased responsibility.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Excellent organization and planning skills.</li>\n<li>Commitment, energy and a strong work ethic.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Proficient with construction contract preparation and contract administration, especially using MMCD.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience with field data collection including topographic survey work using robotic total station equipment.</li>\n<li>Experience with construction field inspections.</li>\n<li>Experience in creating civil infrastructure drawings with AutoCAD Civil 3D (including grading, pipe networks, and corridors).</li>\n<li>Class 5 Drivers License and personal vehicle are required.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Why Join TRUE?</span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p>TRUE has provided engineering, land surveying and planning consulting services to our municipal, First Nation and private sector clients throughout the interior of British Columbia since 1986.
