Join DCI today to build relationships and gain fulfillment with a lower caregiver-to-patient ratio than other providers.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The <strong>Dialysis Charge Nurse</strong> supervises nursing personnel to ensure every patient receives the safest care with the highest quality outcomes.</p>\n<p><strong>Schedule:</strong> Potential fulltime shifts vary depending on clinic needs and may include five 8-hour, four 10-hour, or three 13.33-hour shifts. Schedule set upon hiring.<strong>Compensation:</strong> Pay range depending on nursing and dialysis experience; experience preferred</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Benefits:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Paid training with preceptor</li>\n <li>Charge nurse continuing education classes</li>\n <li>Comprehensive medical, dental and vision benefits</li>\n <li>Life and long-term disability insurance provided at no additional expense to employee</li>\n <li>Paid time off (PTO) including holidays</li>\n <li>Extended Sick Bank (ESB) in addition to PTO – paid time for doctor appointments, sickness or medical leave</li>\n <li>Retirement plans with $.50 of each contributed dollar matched for eligible employees, up to 8 percent</li>\n <li>Education reimbursement</li>\n <li>Employee assistance program</li>\n <li>Wellness program</li>\n <li>Among others</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>What You Can Expect:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Obtain and review all new patient information and consent forms before initial treatment</li>\n <li>Assist and oversee patient care staff in initiating, monitoring and terminating dialysis treatments as needed</li>\n <li>Coordinate patient scheduling with nurse manager, maximizing resources to align patient needs with staff capabilities and experience</li>\n <li>Manage clinic operation following safety and staffing guidelines in absence of manager</li>\n <li>Communicate patient status to physician; implement and document orders</li>\n <li>Participate in patient care conferences, medical rounds and chart review; document progress notes</li>\n <li>Contribute to risk management, QAPI and infection control committees</li>\n <li>Supervise initial and ongoing patient education</li>\n <li>Review and document patient education to ensure compliance with ESRD Network, regulatory agencies, DCI’s CQI Program and individual clinic requirements</li>\n <li>Manage monthly patient lab work in accordance with clinic policies and protocols</li>\n <li>Oversee primary nursing teams and non-licensed staff for completion of assignments</li>\n <li>Support training of new staff members as directed and supervised by the education coordinator, the clinical supervisor and/or the nurse manager</li>\n <li>Provide feedback and assist the nurse manager with staff performance reviews</li>\n <li>Functions as expert resource for clinical staff</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Successful Candidates Bring:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Excellent communication skills</li>\n <li>Demonstrated clinical proficiency</li>\n <li>Desire to collaborate with care teams</li>\n <li>Established leadership skills</li>\n <li>Ability to problem solve</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Education/Training:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Current North Carolina RN license required</li>\n <li>One year of dialysis nursing experience required</li>\n <li>Supervisory experience preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>DCI’s Differentiator:</strong></p>\n<p>Since opening the first clinic 50 years ago in Nashville, Tenn., our Dialysis Clinic, Inc. family has grown to be the nation’s largest nonprofit dialysis provider with more than 270 locations in 30 states, serving nearly 14,000 patients each day.
