This position is responsible for executing a variety of projects within client occupied, high-end residences, at the highest standards of quality in the industry. Dowbuilt foremen within the service department are professional, skilled craftspeople who communicate exceptionally, plan and manage time effectively across multiple projects, and collaborate with a wide variety of people inside and outside of the company.</p><p><b>WHAT YOU’LL DO</b></p><p>As a service foreman, you’ll be responsible for:</p><ul><li>Performing all assigned work to the highest standard of workmanship and quality; collaborating with superintendents</li><li>Performing routine preventative maintenance to ensure that our clients’ homes run smoothly </li><li>Proactively identifying areas in need of repair; inspecting and diagnosing problems as needed</li><li>Supervising and assisting subcontractors to ensure safe operations, productivity, and quality of work</li><li>Managing subcontractor performance and behavior onsite</li><li>Maintaining a safe, secure, clean and organized work area; ensuring tools and equipment are maintained and stored properly; maintaining security and privacy of our clients and information at all times</li><li>Planning and managing weekly schedule; maintaining a current calendar and identify personal schedule gaps in advance; proactively reaching out to superintendents to ensure sufficient work</li><li>Procuring materials and supplies for service projects; submitting material purchases with appropriate job numbers</li><li>Preparing daily field reports with hours, providing a recap of the service work that was performed</li><li>Establishing and cultivating professional and personal contacts in the building industry</li><li>Cleaning and maintaining company service vehicle</li></ul><p><b>WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED</b></p><p>To be successful as a Dowbuilt service foreman, you’ll need:</p><ul><li>At least 3 years of residential construction experience (high-end preferred)</li><li>Willingness to obtain OSHA 10 and CPR / First Aid certifications; focus on safety and security of self, employees, clients</li><li>Possesses working knowledge of:<ul style=\"list-style-type:circle;\"><li>all phases of carpentry</li><li>building codes and permit requirements</li><li>operation and basic troubleshooting of home mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems</li><li>fine finish care and maintenance practices</li><li>Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and web-based applications</li></ul></li><li>Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; driving a company vehicle is required for this position</li><li>Professional and succinct communication skills</li><li>The ability to listen actively, follow instructions, take notes, ask for help, and suggest solutions</li><li>The drive to learn, develop skills, and share knowledge with others</li><li>The ability to collaborate and problem solve with others</li><li>Composure when stressed or facing difficult objectives</li><li>Confidentiality of client and company proprietary information</li><li>Professional demeanor and appearance</li><li>U.S. work authorization</li></ul><p><b>WHAT WE OFFER</b></p><p>We are a fun, easygoing bunch of professionals who take a lot of pride in the work we do.
