Join our team, where your expertise can make a true impact!</p><p>The “Underground Fixed &amp; Electrical Maintenance Supervisor” ensures that all planned and unplanned activities for Underground Fixed Maintenance and Electrical systems are properly executed in a safe and efficient manner.</p><p><strong>Key tasks and responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Review and direct technicians on all scheduled / unscheduled repair activities, ensuring safe / efficient execution.</li><li>Discuss upcoming schedules and plans with peers</li><li>Coordinate with the operations supervisors / dispatcher for all scheduled activities. Ensure the sequencing matches the schedule as developed.</li><li>Assign and distribute the work order packets which include appropriate standard job plans, to the technicians.</li><li>Spend at minimum, 80% of time on “visible felt leadership” interacting with the technicians and service contractors.</li><li>Attend morning meetings to communicate current machine status &amp; priority, unplanned sick leave, parts issues, required schedule changes and uncompleted work orders requiring rescheduling.</li><li>Proactive and positive interaction with Technicians – supporting and executing safety / reliability improvements to the equipment.</li><li>Develop crew support for other continuous improvement initiatives.</li><li>Execute quality control and quality assurance checks on all work.</li><li>Mentor and coach technicians to adequately perform their duties in a professional and productive manner.</li></ul><p><strong>Key Result Areas &amp; Measures:</strong></p><ul><li>Excellent and demonstrated commitment to safety &amp; health, interacting with maintenance personnel to ensure activities are completed without compromise to the safety and health of all personnel.</li><li>Reduce TRI (total recordable injuries) by 15% (including contractors) from previous year.</li><li>Focus on “visible felt leadership” spending at minimum 80% of time interacting with the technicians and contractors.</li><li>Ensure key performance measures are actively reviewed with the technicians targeting the fleet availability.</li><li>Positive and enthusiastic team member, seeking to assist and mentor others.</li><li>Rigorous and thorough management for completing scheduled activities to minimize the production impact of the equipment being down for maintenance activities.</li><li>Actively and constructively communicate opportunities for improvement / development to technicians consistently updating individuals as to their current job performance.</li><li>Maintain rigorous housekeeping habits of all maintenance shop facilities.</li><li>Maintain daily maintenance shift reports, area inspections, payroll records, planned general inspections, dispatch reporting data and employee evaluations.</li><li>Maintain good working relationships with key vendors / manufacturers such as Sandvik, Normet, Blanchard (Cat), Fastenal etc.</li><li>Provide technical support and training to the heavy repair technicians.</li></ul><p><strong>Physical Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs, talk, hear, and see.</li><li>Must be able to work shift work with 12-hour shifts.</li><li>Occasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) during the workday.</li><li>Work is in a surface mine plant setting, which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity.</li><li>Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine environment, including hart hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves, and any other protective equipment as required.</li></ul>",
