More specifically, </span><span style=\"color: #202124; font-size: 13px\">a Special Education Assistant assists teachers by caring for the physical needs of students with disabilities. The Special Education Assistant also helps in students’ training and education through the presentation of educational materials or exercises.</span></p>\n<p><br><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"color: #ffc000; font-size: 22px\">ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS &amp; JOB DUTIES</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Essential Duties may include, but are not limited to: </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #434343; font-size: 18px\">Position Duties:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 13px\">Assist special education teachers in supporting students with disabilities in the general education  setting</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 13px\">Provide services, supports and interventions directly to students under guidance and daily supervision of special education teacher, to ensure students meet academic and behavioral IEP goals; i.e., providing support to student in classroom, explaining instructions to students, modeling appropriate behavior, communicating regularly with classroom teacher</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 13px\">Help provide testing accommodations; Supervise student completing test in a separate location or during an extended time</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 13px\">Assist student and classroom teacher on behavior; e.g. implementing behavior plan</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 13px\">Upon request/need, assist student with toileting, catheters, and/or other special physical needs</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222;
