The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a BSc in Ecology or a related field, and 3-5 years of relevant experience in ecological assessments, field surveys, and monitoring programs. The candidate must be willing to travel to the Middle East (UAE, Saudi Arabia), and be able to conduct ecological assessments, field surveys, and monitoring programs in accordance with IFC Performance Standard 6 and Critical Habitat Assessment protocols.</span></span><span style=\"font-size: 15px; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"></span></p>\r\n<p><br></p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">Responsibilities:</span></p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px;\"> </span><span style=\"font-size: 15px; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">Plan and execute baseline surveys.</span></li>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\"> <span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">Prepare ecological baseline reports, impact assessments, and Critical Habitat Assessments</span></span></li>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\"> <span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">Assess impacts to birds resulting from windfarms and overhead transmission lines</span></span></li>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\"> <span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">Develop and implement mitigation measures and monitoring plans</span></span></li>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\"> <span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">Provide technical support for ecological aspects of environmental and social impact assessments</span></span></li>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\"> <span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">Coordinate with project managers, clients, and regulatory agencies</span></span></li>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\"> <span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">Provide training and guidance to junior staff.</span></span></li>\r\n</ul>\r\n<p><br></p>\r\n<p><span>Candidate Requirements / Skills:</span></p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px;\"> </span><span style=\"font-size: 15px; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">BSc Degree in ecology or related disciplines</span></li>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\"> <span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">At least three to five years of previous experience in in conducting ecological assessments, field surveys, and monitoring programs terrestrial ecology, preferably experience with renewable projects (Solar and Wind)</span></span></li>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\"> <span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">Excellent report writing skills for preparation of technical reports</span></span></li>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\"> <span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">Excellent proficiency in MS Office Suite</span></span></li>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\"> <span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">Solid understanding of IFC Performance Standard 6 and Critical Habitat Assessment protocols </span></span></li>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\"> <span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">Ability to interface with clients</span></span></li>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\"> <span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">Attention-to-detail, meticulous organisational skills</span></span></li>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\"> <span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">Ability and willingness to travel to project sites (middle east)</span></span></li>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\"> <span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">Abilities to multi-task and meet stringent deadlines</span></span></li>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\"> <span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">Valid driver’s license</span></span></li>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\"> <span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">Added benefit: Preparation of ESIA chapters for other disciplines.</span></span></li>\r\n</ul>",
