Other benefits include employer pension matching, shift differential, incentive/premium pay, free annual biometric screening and paid volunteer time off.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>RiverView is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer. </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Mental Health Counselor</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Position Status</strong>: .3 fte (upto 24 hours) per pay period<strong>Department:</strong> Recovery Center</p>\n<p><strong>Location:</strong> Thief River Falls<strong>Salary Range:</strong> $34.82 - $48.76 / per hour (based on experience) - non-benefitted</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Job Summary:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Mental Health Counselor will be responsible for a range of clinical services, including, but not limited to: facilitation of Group Therapy, facilitation of Individual Sessions, Crisis Management, Telemedicine, DWI/Drug Court Staffing/Participation, Family Education, timely completion of Time Ads (for monthly billing), timely completion of DHS required documentation and case management/treatment coordination. This counselor’s primary office will be in Thief River Falls and will share in professional responsibilities in the Thief River Falls office with other professional staff. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Conduct comprehensive substance use disorder assessments.</li>\n <li>Develop individualized treatment plans based on client needs and clinical findings.</li>\n <li>Provide group and individual counseling services utilizing evidence-based practices.</li>\n <li>Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with state and agency standards.</li>\n <li>Collaborate with case managers, healthcare providers, mental health professionals, and family members to support integrated care.</li>\n <li>Provide crisis intervention and coordinate referrals as needed.</li>\n <li>Facilitate education and support groups on topics such as relapse prevention, coping skills, and recovery support.</li>\n <li>Participate in ongoing training and professional development.</li>\n <li>Comply with confidentiality and ethical standards according to HIPAA and professional licensing requirements.</li>\n <li>Engage in regular clinical supervision and performance evaluations.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<strong>Minimum Requirements:</strong>\n<ul>\n <li>Master's degree in Social Work (MSW), Counseling (MA, MS), or a related mental health field.</li>\n <li>Current and valid license to practice in MN (e.g., LCSW, LMHC, LPC, PhD, PsyD) with no restrictions.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated experience facilitating group therapy sessions, preferably with the senior population.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p> <strong>Preferred Requirements:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>5+ years experience working with patient populations of substance use disorders and mental health conditions</li>\n <li>Experience with electronic health records (EHR), <strong>preferred</strong>.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Experience & Competencies:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Work with kindness and accountability to enhance the quality of life for our patients.</li>\n <li>Strong understanding of the mental health issues commonly experienced by older adults (e.g., depression, anxiety, isolation, dementia-related challenges).</li>\n <li>Excellent communication, interpersonal, and group facilitation skills.</li>\n <li>Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.</li>\n <li>Commitment to ethical and professional standards.</li>\n</ul>",
