    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><p data-pasted=\"true\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: georgia, serif;\">The Bryan County Board of Commissioners is now accepting applications for a Full-Time <strong>Lieutenant&nbsp;</strong>in the Fire &amp; Rescue Department. &nbsp;<strong><br></strong></span><br><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: georgia, serif;\"><strong>The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.</strong></span></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: georgia, serif;\">Responds to emergency incidents, including fires, hazardous spills, and vehicle collisions.</li><li style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: georgia, serif;\">Supervises and assists in fighting structural fires to ensure that appropriate firefighting techniques are used.</li><li style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: georgia, serif;\">Helps to provide supervision and to maintain order at fire scenes.</li><li style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: georgia, serif;\">Organizes and oversees daily activities of shift personnel.</li><li style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: georgia, serif;\">Extricates victims from vehicles at collision sites.</li><li style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: georgia, serif;\">Provides on-site emergency medical care.</li><li style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: georgia, serif;\">Provides safety and fire suppression training to new employees and continuing education to existing employees.</li><li style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: georgia, serif;\">Provides fire safety education to schools and civic groups.</li><li style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: georgia, serif;\">Assists in the maintenance of the pre-incident plan, including a list of emergency contacts, floor plans, and utility cutoffs for structures around the city.</li><li style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: georgia, serif;\">Prepares incident reports.</li><li style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: georgia, serif;\">Supervises firefighters in respect to general custodial and maintenance duties at fire station.</li><li style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: georgia, serif;\">Maintains a sufficient level of physical fitness.</li><li style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: georgia, serif;\">Performs other related duties as assigned.</li></ul><p><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: georgia, serif;\"><strong>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS</strong></span></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: georgia, serif;\">High school diploma or GED required; Associates or Bachelor&rsquo;s degree preferred;&nbsp;</li><li style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: georgia, serif;\">IFSAC or NPQ FF II (must obtain Georgia State Firefighter certification within 90 days if not already certified);</li><li style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: georgia, serif;\">IFSAC or NPQ Fire Instructor I;</li><li style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: georgia, serif;\">IFSAC or NPQ Fire Officer I;</li><li style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: georgia, serif;\">NPQ AOPP or equivalent;</li><li style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: georgia, serif;\">NREMT or Georgia EMT or higher;</li><li style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: georgia, serif;\">NIMS ICS 100, 200, 700, and 800; ICS 300 is required to be completed within one year of being promoted/hired;&nbsp;</li><li style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: georgia, serif;\">Must possess or obtain a valid Georgia Class F Driver&#39;s License or equivalent.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: georgia, serif;\">Bryan County is an equal opportunity employer, and we endorse the Americans&rsquo; Disability Act.
