    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><p><strong><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:</span></strong></p><p><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Assists with admission process by taking initial vital signs, measurements, and weights, orienting patient/family to unit, hospital facilities and services, and documenting on appropriate forms per unit standards.&nbsp;</span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Delivers patient care promptly, accurately, and according to unit standards, policies, and procedures, as well as patient&rsquo;s plan of care. Contributes relevant and appropriate information to the RN. Maintains confidentiality of patient related issues. Supports the Patient Bill of Rights. Participates in meetings and reinforces patient&rsquo;s educational needs, documents accordingly. Provides emotional support to patients and families, documents appropriately.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Assists physician/provider and/or nurse with procedures which may include but not limited to lumbar puncture, thoracentesis, central line insertion, application of dressings, urinary catheterization, etc. per unit standards and within scope of practice. Demonstrates knowledge of sterile technique. Performs EKGs, as needed.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Monitors and accurately records patient intake and output. Reports changes in patient&rsquo;s status (e.g., changes in vital signs, level of consciousness, weight, mobility status, comfort level, feeding pattern or any unusual occurrences) to the RN in a timely manner.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Assists patient with routine activities of daily living: feeding, bathing, ambulating, and skin care according to policy and documents appropriately. Demonstrates effective interpersonal skills appropriate to the age, type, and developmental level of the patients.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Answers call lights timely and intervenes appropriately. Responds to patient and family requests promptly.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Transports patients to various departments for services and upon discharge/transfer.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Stocks and orders supplies for unit and/or patient. Removes equipment and supplies not in use; cleans equipment and returns to appropriate storage location. Keeps patient area clean and free of trash and clutter.
