Sports within the program will include: Basketball, soccer, tennis, and volleyball with the ability to add additional sports as needed.&nbsp;</span></span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 12px;\"><span style=\"font-family: verdana,sans-serif;\"><strong>Essential Duties</strong></span></span></p><ul><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;\"><span style=\"color: rgb(65, 65, 65); font-style: normal; font-variant-ligatures: normal; font-variant-caps: normal; font-weight: 400; letter-spacing: normal; orphans: 2; text-align: left; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; widows: 2; word-spacing: 0px; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); text-decoration-thickness: initial; text-decoration-style: initial; text-decoration-color: initial; float: none; display: inline !important;\">Ensure the health, safety and well-being of children- (Pre-K through middle school age) in the program, by providing close supervision of all activities.</span></li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;\">Provide supervision of the participants in line with YMCA program standards and guidelines (i.e. ratio, attendance).</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;\">Teach rules, fundamentals and enhance basic skills. Emphasize teamwork and sportsmanship.</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;\">Create an atmosphere in which all participants can have fun, are safe and learn the importance of good principled athletics.</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;\">Communicate with parents/guardians regarding the progress of their child/teen and registration for the next session.</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;\">Communicate to parents/guardians about additional YMCA opportunities that can benefit them or their child/teen.</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;\">Ensure that all equipment is age-appropriate, safe and in proper working condition. &nbsp;This includes conducting monthly equipment safety checks.</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;\">Work with the Supervisor to develop and lead program promotion and recruitment efforts.</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;\">Have a thorough knowledge of branch emergency procedures and take appropriate actions for emergency situations.</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;\">Ensure the cleanliness of program space during all activities.</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;\">Inform Supervisor on-duty regarding any incident reports that need to be filled out.</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;\">Actively participate in all training sessions, designated meetings and special events.</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;\">Other activities and duties as needed that address the ongoing health and well-being of our staff and members.</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;\">Follow and maintain sanitary habits in accordance with CDC guidelines.</li></ul><p><span style=\"font-size: 12px;\"><span style=\"font-family: verdana,sans-serif;\"><strong>Qualifications&nbsp;</strong></span></span></p><ul><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;\">Must have at least 1 year experience coaching or 2 years playing on a sports team</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;\">Must be 18 years or older</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;\">Must be dependable and have experience working with kids</li></ul><p><span style=\"font-size: 12px;\"><span style=\"font-family: verdana,sans-serif;\"><strong><u>Hours:</u></strong></span></span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 12px;\"><span style=\"font-family: verdana,sans-serif;\">Monday-Friday: 5pm-8pm</span></span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 12px;\"><span style=\"font-family: verdana,sans-serif;\">Saturday mornings: 9am-12pm</span></span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 12px;\"><span style=\"font-family: verdana,sans-serif;\"><strong>Benefits of working part-time at GSCY include:</strong></span></span></p><ul><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;\">FREE Individual Membership Access to any YMCA in the Nation.</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;\">10% Discount on most programming at Greater Somerset County YMCA.</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;\">Access to one of the leading retirement programs &quot;Y Retirement Fund&quot; from the first day of employment.</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;\">Opportunities for professional development, mentoring, growth, and promotion throughout the YMCA Movement.</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;\">Supportive and inclusive community for people of all backgrounds and access to Employee Resource Networks.</li></ul><p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;\">Greater Somerset County YMCA is a drug free work environment.
