    "description": "<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<h4><strong>Position Overview:</strong></h4>\n<p>We are seeking a highly experienced <strong>Subject Matter Expert Engineer</strong> to serve as the technical engineering lead and point of contact (POC) for a critical program. The ideal candidate will apply deep expertise in engineering principles to assess requirements, develop engineered designs, and oversee technical execution. This role requires strong leadership, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and collaboration with various stakeholders, including government and contractor personnel.</p>\n<h4><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></h4>\n<ul>\n <li>Serve as the Engineering Subject Matter Expert and primary technical POC for the program.</li>\n <li>Apply engineering principles to assess requirements, develop design plans, and ensure technical feasibility.</li>\n <li>Collaborate effectively with stakeholders to foster support for program objectives.</li>\n <li>Oversee project efforts to ensure technical execution remains on schedule and within budget.</li>\n <li>Work with PMO and TPOCs to define technical requirements, schedules, performance criteria, and project kick-off briefings.</li>\n <li>Provide recommendations based on technical assessments and present findings to key decision-makers.</li>\n <li>Prepare detailed technical reports and documentation.</li>\n <li>Supervise and mentor junior engineers as needed.</li>\n <li>Ensure seamless communication and collaboration across technical teams.</li>\n <li>Support the PMO by conducting programmatic and technical evaluations.</li>\n <li>Manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<h4><strong>Required Qualifications:</strong></h4>\n<ul>\n <li>Minimum of 7 years (Ph.D.), 10 years (MS/MA), 12 years (BS/BA), or 16 years (without a degree) in a relevant engineering or technical field.</li>\n <li><strong>Active TS/SCI clearance</strong> or the ability to obtain SCI and pass a polygraph.</li>\n <li>At least 7 years of experience reviewing technical, schedule, and budgetary aspects of projects.</li>\n <li>At least 7 years of experience developing technical requirements, schedules, FTE estimates, performance criteria, CDRL definitions, and project kick-off briefings.</li>\n</ul>\n<h4><strong>Desired Qualifications:</strong></h4>\n<ul>\n <li>Expertise in <strong>theory of operations, performance characteristics, vulnerability, and employment of foreign weapons systems</strong>.</li>\n <li>Experience leading <strong>analysis, evaluation, and assessment</strong> of intelligence information on defensive systems and technologies.</li>\n <li>Proven ability to <strong>oversee engineering efforts</strong> related to radar and missile system design.</li>\n <li>Understanding of the <strong>Integrated Technical Evaluation and Analysis of Multiple Sources (ITEAMS)</strong> process for threat design analysis.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of <strong>Threat Modeling Analysis Program (TMAP)</strong> digital models, simulations, and hardware representations of defensive systems.</li>\n</ul>\n<h4><strong>Why Join Us?</strong></h4>\n<p>This role offers a unique opportunity to lead critical technical projects, influence system designs, and support national security efforts. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
