Description

Description Position Summary The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for supporting facility operations through the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of building systems, equipment, and mechanical systems within manufacturing, processing, packaging, and facility areas. This role performs preventive maintenance, responds to emergency repairs, assists with equipment setup and system modifications, and ensures all work is completed in compliance with company procedures and regulatory standards. Responsibilities and technical expertise increase progressively across levels I, II, and III based on experience, skills, and demonstrated knowledge. Position Responsibilities and Competencies: Perform preventive maintenance activities following established SOPs to maintain reliable equipment operation. Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain facility, HVAC, processing, packaging, and mechanical systems. Respond to emergency and corrective maintenance requests in a timely manner. Assist with equipment setup, cleaning, installations, and system modifications. Maintain accurate maintenance documentation in compliance with company and regulatory standards. Support daily operational and facility maintenance needs while demonstrating strong planning, organization, and problem-solving skills. Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with team members and other departments. Demonstrate integrity, sound decision-making, customer service orientation, and a commitment to continuous learning. Maintain compliance with safety procedures, company policies, and regulatory requirements. Perform other duties as assigned or requested. Qualifications & Experience: 0–5 years of maintenance or mechanic experience preferred, ideally within a pharmaceutical or manufacturing environment Experience with HVAC, processing, packaging, plumbing, electrical, or mechanical systems preferred Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities Ability to read, comprehend, and apply written and verbal instructions Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing and packaging processes preferred Education: Associate’s degree, vocational training, or specialized technical training in maintenance trades, HVAC, mechanical systems, electrical systems, or a related field preferred but not required Equivalent combinations of education, technical training, and relevant work experience will be considered Physical & Working Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Frequent standing, walking, climbing, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, lifting, pushing, and pulling Ability to work with hands for equipment operation and maintenance tasks Ability to maintain balance and coordination in mechanical or elevated work areas Work performed in manufacturing, processing, packaging, and mechanical environments May work in confined spaces, on elevated platforms, rooftops, and outdoors Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including hearing protection Near-vision acuity required for detailed maintenance work The base salary (hourly) range for this position is $20.50-$24.00; the exact salary depends on various factors such as experience, skills, education, location, competencies, and industry-specific knowledge. In addition, ANI Pharmaceuticals offers a variety of benefits to eligible employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plans, paid leave programs, paid holidays and paid time off.
