If this sounds like a good fit for you, we’d like to meet you! </span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><br><br><span>We’re looking for someone who will maintain and repair heating, ventilation, and conditioning equipment and systems. The right candidate will also maintain the safe operation of complex systems and equipment, which may include hydronic cooling and heating systems, DX split and packaged AC units, pumps, heat exchangers, air compressors, steam systems, steam traps, PRV stations and humidifiers. You will need to understand BAS controls, chiller operations, pump operations, hydronic and air handling systems. Our Service Technician needs to work safely, be innovative, take pride in a job well done, and do your work with integrity.</span><br><br><span>What You’ll Do:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Repair of:</span>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Centrifugal chillers,</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">DX packaged units, split systems, and air-cooled chillers,</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Centrifugal water pumps (seals, bearings, impellers, and shafts),</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Cooling towers,</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Small MRI chillers,</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Humidifiers,</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Low temperature &amp; ice machines; and</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Computer room cooling systems.</span></li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Replacement of AHU fan bearings, fans, shafts, coils, and motor bearings.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Dial indicator and laser alignment of belt driven and direct coupled equipment.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment, and routine repair &amp; calibration after installation.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Uses experience and technical skills with preventive maintenance and system operations to determine service requirements.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Work with a team to share information and workload while ensuring customer satisfaction.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Work in a safe manner daily and ensure that all safety measures are always taken.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Other duties as assigned.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">This is an individual contributor role, and the face of Batchelor &amp; Kimball to our customers. To be successful, you need to present a clean, professional &amp; organized demeanor, and work well on your own as well as on a team. You’ll also </span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">require sound communication skills and be able to deliver a sense of comfort, reliability, and can-do attitude to our end users, communicate complex terms customers and confirm their understanding.<br><br></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">What you’ll need (minimum qualifications): </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Strong electrical and electronic troubleshooting skills</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Strong HVAC and refrigeration skills</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Strong mechanical aptitude</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Strong overall system troubleshooting abilities</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Ability to source materials and estimate repair quotes if required</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Prior work experience and educational requirements</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Will require a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or a technical program.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">3+ years of commercial/industrial HVAC experience</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">EPA certification</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Clean driving record, background check and drug free</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Flexibility to work overtime, on-call and weekends, as required</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Meet all physical requirements of working in the HVAC field, including operating applicable tools, comfortable working at heights as well as indoor &amp; outdoor</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Good to have:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Understanding of steam system components (traps, Spence regulators, humidifiers, and heat exchangers) </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Ability to read and understand mechanical blueprints </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Understands basics of building automation systems</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Understands basics of building automation systems<br><br></span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">NOTE: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
