More than a workplace, we celebrate our successes and take pride in serving our communities.</p>\n<h2>Job Summary</h2>\n<p>West Bend is looking for a Loss Control Representative to join our growing team.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Conduct onsite calls to provide risk assessments and service to prospect, new quote and existing accounts. Risk Assessments include physical surveys, investigating risk exposures/accidents, analyzing risk experience, developing service plans and providing recommendations. Consult with underwriters to determine account and risk acceptability. Provide verbal and written correspondence to underwriting. Work with agents to foster and develop relationships and to secure new business. Effectively manage a service territory, work with customers to ensure safety planning is in place and conduct training presentations to business clients, large groups, or associations. Training presentations may be conducted in-person, and occasionally on a weekend. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Work Location</h2>\n<p><strong>This is a field-based position covering the Northern Ohio/Southeastern Michigan, and working out of your home office within the area you are serving.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>External applications will be accepted on a rolling basis while the position remains open.</strong></p>\n<h2>Responsibilities & Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>3+ years of experience in safety, loss control or related field</li>\n <li>Demonstrates independence by servicing large/complex accounts of various classes of business with little guidance and shows the ability to successfully address and reduce loss drivers</li>\n <li>Demonstrates a willingness to coach and mentor co-workers, take on advanced projects, engage with internal and external peers to solve problems, attend professional development conferences and/or is involved with professional associations to expand their network</li>\n <li>Previous experience working for/with a multi-line insurance carrier</li>\n <li>Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint</li>\n <li>Proven interpersonal, presentation, marketing, oral and written communication skills</li>\n <li>Problem solving, critical thinking, active listening, negotiation and decision-making skills</li>\n <li>Valid driver’s license required</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred Education and Training</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in Loss Control, Risk Management, Safety, Insurance or related field</li>\n <li>Designation in safety, health or insurance (CSP, ASP, ARM, CRM, CIC, CPCU, etc.)</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>In a competitive market for top talent, what sets West Bend apart?</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>We offer stability and continued growth.</li>\n <li>We reward for performance – both at the personal and company level.</li>\n <li>Our leadership team will help ensure your success by partnering with you every step of the way.
