Reporting to the Office Manager, the <br>successful candidate will support projects in the resource, municipal, energy, and mining sectors <br>as part of a multidisciplinary team. This role involves surveying, civil design, drafting, and <br>construction support. You will collaborate closely with engineers, field personnel, and clients to <br>help deliver high-quality design packages from conceptual stages through to record drawings. <br>Senior candidates will also have the opportunity to lead survey projects and teams, mentor junior <br>team members, and contribute to project planning and field engineering activities. <br> <br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Responsibilities: </span><br>•  Surveying &amp; Field Engineering Support <br>o  Perform Field Surveys as required <br>o  Process survey data, including total station, GNSS, and LiDAR datasets. <br>o  Prepare construction layout and staking files for field crews. <br>o  Convert as-built survey information into updated record drawings. <br>o  Collaborate with surveyors and field engineers to ensure data accuracy and project <br>alignment. <br>•  Design &amp; Drafting <br>o  Prepare detailed engineering drawings for civil and infrastructure projects across <br>multiple sectors. <br>o  Develop plans, profiles, cross-sections, grading designs, and construction details <br>using AutoCAD Civil 3D. <br>o  Produce conceptual, preliminary, tender, issued ‑ for ‑ construction, and record <br>drawing packages. <br>•  Project Coordination <br>o  Support engineers and project managers in preparing design packages and <br>technical documentation. <br>o  Assist with quantity calculations, design checks, and quality assurance practices. <br>o  Communicate with internal teams, clients, and contractors to resolve technical <br>issues. <br>  <br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Required Skills &amp; Competencies: </span><br>•  Physically capable of performing fieldwork, including lifting equipment, working in varied <br>terrain and weather, and traveling to remote locations for extended periods. <br>•  Strong proficiency with topographic surveys using total station and GPS ‑ RTK methods.  <br>•  Experience with drone-based survey and imagery is an asset. <br>•  Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D; and/or additional drafting/design software is an asset. <br>•  Excellent attention to detail, and a strong commitment to producing quality work <br>•  Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to shifting priorities. <br>•  Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration. <br>•  Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities  <br>•  Self ‑ motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision, particularly at <br>senior levels. <br> <br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Education &amp; Experience: </span><br>•  Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology (or equivalent combination of education and <br>experience). <br>•  4–7 years of related experience in consulting engineering or infrastructure design. <br>•  Experience in surveying workflows, civil design, drafting production, and/or field <br>engineering support. <br>•  Registered or eligible for registration with ASTTBC as an AScT or CTech <br>•  Valid Drivers License <br> <br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Salary: </span><br>$85,000-$110,000 annually, plus benefits.
