Riggers will eventually become trained and qualified to operate overhead cranes and forklifts along with types of handling gear</li>\n <li>This position requires the use of hand signals to communicate with mobile crane operators to ensure all lifting and handling functions are completed properly and safely</li>\n <li>This position also requires work to be performed on ships, barges as well as indoors and outdoors</li>\n <li>Candidates will be required to work at heights, confined spaces, inclement weather and support extended hours and overtime as business needs dictate</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>This position is located at the Quonset Point facility in North Kingstown, RI.</strong></p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>Required:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma/GED OR a minimum of 2 years related technical experience </li>\n <li>Experience using tools/equipment or physical work</li>\n <li>Valid drivers' license</li>\n <li>Available to work all shifts and to support overtime as needed</li>\n <li>Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces and in extreme temperature conditions as required</li>\n <li>Ability to read, interpret, and work from policies and procedures</li>\n <li>Individuals are required to possess their own basic hand tools</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Preferred:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Rigging or related lifting & handling experience or training</li>\n <li>CDL license </li>\n <li>Experience in Mobile Crane and/or overhead crane operation</li>\n <li>Experience operating Crawler Crane</li>\n <li>Vocational, Technical and Community Colleges or Apprentice programs</li>\n <li>Understanding of basic crane hand signals</li>\n <li>Experience working in the construction environment</li>\n <li>Ability to read, interpret, and work from blueprints</li>\n <li>Military/Navy experience </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Skills</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills</li>\n <li>Strong written communication skills for documentation and reporting purposes</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Physical Qualifications</h2>Climbing, Crawling, Kneeling, Light Lifting, Medium Lifting, Pulling, Pushing, Reaching, Stooping, Twisting\n<h2>Environmental Attributes</h2>Cold, Dry, Dusty, Fumes, Hot, Inside, Noise, Oily, Outside, Wet",
