    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Allspring Global Investments is seeking to hire a junior Equity Research Analyst for Allspring CEF strategies. The successful candidate will work with a team of portfolio managers who manage investment portfolios of closed-end funds and ETF’s. This opportunity requires an analyst with a background in mathematics, statistics, and computer science along with some understanding of finance and economics.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>We currently operate in a hybrid working model, whereby you will be required to work in-office 4 days per week.  </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Location(s): Richmond, VA</p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Produce, review, and otherwise manage various required reports such as attribution and other investment analysis.</li>\n <li>Assist in preparing meetings agendas, presentations, documentations, and organizing topics.</li>\n <li>Demonstrate sound decision making and strategic thinking which reflects an understanding of our business and priorities.</li>\n <li>Calendar management for portfolio managers, analysts, and product specialist team members.</li>\n <li>Plan and coordinate travel arrangements, including preparing travel itineraries, solving logistical issues, and monthly expense reporting.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s Degree.</li>\n <li>Skillful use of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.</li>\n <li>Working Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook (calendar and email management).</li>\n <li>Ability to handle heavy workloads while remaining focused in fast paced environment.</li>\n <li>Some knowledge and understanding of equity markets.</li>\n <li>Excellent written and oral communication skills.</li>\n <li>Well-organized, independent thinker, team player, entrepreneurial spirit.</li>\n <li>Natural curiosity and desire to drive team level success.</li>\n <li>Reliable, professional attitude and willingness to carry out responsibilities in a cooperative work setting.</li>\n <li>Remain in stationary position for prolonged periods of time</li>\n <li>Operate computer programs and software</li>\n <li>Ability to communicate effectively with audiences in person and in electronic formats</li>\n <li>Day-to-day contact with others (co-workers and/or public)</li>\n <li>Ability to work in a collaborative business environment in close quarters with peers and varying interruptions.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>1-2+ years of experience in an investment management or fund management environment; prior investment industry experience.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of Bloomberg.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em><strong>Please note</strong></em><em>: This position does not offer sponsorship for employment visas.
