The ideal candidate will have sailed to Chief Officer (C/O) or Captain on LPG Tankers and possess strong shore-based operational experience. In this shore-based role, you will apply your maritime expertise to manager fleet operations, ensuring safety, compliance and optimal performance across all vessels under your responsibility.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced maritime professional with a background in LPG tanker operations to take the next step in their career and make a significant impact in a dynamic shore-based role.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key responsibilities and primary deliverables</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Operations</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Oversee and manage the daily operations of the fleet of LPG tankers, ensuring all vessels under your responsibility adhere to company policies, industry regulations and safety standards and Charter Party terms.</li>\n<li>Ensure that all voyages are conducted with primary regard to the safety of crew, vessel and protection of the environment.</li>\n<li>Minimise the operational costs and controlling vessels’ performance to ensure overall performance of the voyages are in line with Owners and Charterers expectations.</li>\n<li>Provide operational guidance to Masters and Officers, ensuring clear communication of all required information, voyage instructions, Charter Party terms and any special instructions.</li>\n<li>Provide expert advise on navigation, mooring, cargo operations, approving stowage plans and provide guidance on tank cleaning, in addition to supporting optimal fleet performance.</li>\n<li>Review and evaluate any operational issues that arise, providing guidance and solutions to minimise downtime and operational delays.</li>\n<li>Act as main point of contact between the fleet and the shore-based management team, providing timely updates and reports on operational matters. Ensuring all parties are continuously updated on voyage orders and vessel itineraries.</li>\n<li>Ensure Charterers adequately plan bunker supplies in accordance with company guidelines.</li>\n<li>Checking freight/hire invoices on a regular basis and upon delivery to Charterers.</li>\n<li>Negotiating Agency fees and appointing agents as necessary.</li>\n<li>Conduct regular audits of fleet operations and vessel performance to ensure ongoing compliance and identify opportunities for optimisation, efficiency improvements and cost control.</li>\n<li>Support the investigation of any operational incidents, ensuring corrective actions are implemented and safety lessons are learned to prevent reoccurrence.</li>\n<li>Collaborate with other departments (technical, crewing, safety and commercial) to ensure the operational performance of the fleet meets company expectations.</li>\n<li>Actively promote and enforce the company safety culture and standards aboard all vessels , collaborating closely with QHSSE.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Vessel Attendance</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Attending ships as required.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Emergency Response Procedures</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist as part of the emergency / crisis management team and make appropriate requirements.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Marine Compliance</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Stay informed of industry rules, regulations and best practices, ensuring fleet procedures are updated and operations align with the emerging standards.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">File / Report Management</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure that all required documentation is up to date and compliant with international regulations.</li>\n<li>File and maintain all voyage correspondence.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Skills profile</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Relevant experience &amp; education</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Senior Officer - Chief Officer (C/O) or Captain on Gas Tankers.</span></li>\n<li>You hold a C/O or Masters Certificate or equivalent.</li>\n<li>At least 2-3 years relevant shore-based experience in an operations role - carrying out the shore-based day to day operations of a fleet of Gas Tankers.</li>\n<li>Strong understanding of LPG Tanker operations, including optimising vessel performance, interpreting Charter Party terms, managing cargo operations, navigation, stowage and ensuring compliance with international maritime regulations and standards and industry best practice.</li>\n<li>Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with vessel crews and shore-based management. Capable of conveying complex information clearly and effectively to diverse stakeholders.</li>\n<li>Ability to provide clear, actionable guidance on operational matters.</li>\n<li>Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Ability to assess and resolve operational challenges efficiently, with a focus on safety and cost effectiveness.</li>\n<li>Ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.</li>\n<li>Pro-active approach to identifying and resolving operational challenges.</li>\n<li>Thrives in a fast paced, dynamic environment, maintaining focus and delivering results even under tight deadlines or unexpected challenges.</li>\n<li>Collaborative team player, committed to creating a harmonious and solution-oriented work environment.</li>\n<li>Flexible and willingness to work outside of standard hours as needed to ensure operational success.</li>\n<li>Team player: to contribute to the success of the team by sharing knowledge and experience freely within the team.
