Its 800,000 square feet house 130 inpatient beds, 373,000 square feet of research space and 17 radiation treatment machines, makes it one of the largest comprehensive cancer treatment facilities in the world and the largest radiation treatment centre in Canada.</p><p>As an integral member of the interprofessional team, the site-based&#xa0;<strong>Patient Care Coordinator (PCC)</strong>&#xa0;acts as a resource and co-leader for the interprofessional disease site team(s).<br>\n<br>\n<strong>Duties:</strong><br>\n<br>\nThe&#xa0;<strong>PCC&#xa0;</strong>has clinical and leadership expertise. The principal responsibilities within the site(s) include:</p><ul><li>Ensuring efficient day to day operations of clinical areas</li><li>Ongoing continuous improvement&#xa0;and project management&#xa0;practices to strengthen clinic processes</li><li>Performing financial/administrative responsibilities to ensure efficient and effective site operation</li><li>Contributing to staff development by promoting and ensuring a supportive/collaborative learning environment within the service(s)/cluster area based on the principles of adult learning and practice standards for nurses, students and ancillary staff</li><li>Performing human resources responsibilities in collaboration with the nurse manager</li><li>Liaising with members of the multi-disciplinary team to ensure high standards of quality and optimal management of patient care outcomes (including data collection/reporting)</li></ul>",
