Description

Job Description Our Assembly Technician is a key role in our Distribution team. In this role, you would be responsible for the assembly and testing of hydraulic systems including; valves, pumps, motors, PTO's, and other products sold by FORCE America. Due to the variety of components and variation of builds, unique assembly abilities are needed. FORCE America has been an employee-owned hydraulic manufacturer and distributor for over 70 years. FORCE America's distribution chain reaches a customer base of over 17,000. FORCE America employs experienced design engineers, knowledgeable support staff and skilled production teams to ensure quality and service. Responsibilities: Assemble fundamental components in accordance with the work instructions utilizing a combination of hand tools, power tools, and equipment. Tests all assembled systems for standard expectations of quality, quantity, efficiency, and customer specifications consistently and correctly. Maintains system accuracy and record transactions in ERP operating system. Communicate with appropriate parties in relation to expedited orders, component quality issues, inventory records, etc. Maintain safe and orderly work area. Participate in the implementation of process improvements. Participate in maintaining and suggesting safety practices and procedures. Participate as a team member to achieve goals. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED. 1 year of relevant work experience, preferred. Strong mechanical aptitude. Familiarity with hand and power tools. Strong sense of urgency and basic ability to prioritize in order to meet the expectations of the customer. Detail oriented to provide the highest level of quality. Customer focused. Associates Degree in Fluid Power, Mechatronics, or related field strongly preferred. Certified Fluid Power Specialist, preferred. Working Hours are 7:00am - 3:30pm, Monday-Friday. Air power tools, electric drill, drill press, crimping machines, grinders (both hand and bench), wrenches, heat guns, lathe, torches, welders, a variety of hand tools, mills, and electric cords. Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by and employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs. occasionally and/or up to 50 lbs. of force frequently and up to 25 lbs. of force on a regular basis through the day, depending on work related circumstances. Must be able to be attentive to job at hand to complete tasks consistently correctly. Must be able to lift objects from floor to above shoulder level. Must be able to move objects/parts/tools and equipment from one area to another and one level to another level. Strong hand-eye coordination Standing or sitting for up to 4 hours at a time.
