    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p>The Theatre Lighting Designer is responsible for the design and implementation of the lighting design for the production.</p><p>Employed on a per-load-unit basis for a given semester or term. Sole contracted responsibilities are those activities required in the delivery of a design (e.g., mentoring/coaching, preparation, teaching, grading).&nbsp;<br><br>The department produces 4 theatre main stage productions, 3 dance concerts, and 2 musical cabarets within a given season. The productions in our season serve as a lab opportunity for the students in our program so that our students can gain real production experience.</p><p>The department offers a B.A. in Theatre, a B.A. in Dance and Dance Education, and a B.F.A. in Musical Theatre. It is staffed by three full-time faculty, a staff technical director, and a production manager.<br><br>Mission Statement: As a community of Theater and Dance artists we cultivate the stewardship of intellect and imagination in a forum for civic dialogue as we seek to understand our calling in Christ.</p>",
