We welcome candidates who can contribute to the excellence of our academic community.</p>\n<h2>Description</h2>\n<p>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Responsible for the overall coordination of all IT-related projects or programs within a particular department or associated initiatives within the Office of Enterprise Information Technology Security, reporting to the IT-PMO. </li>\n <li>Provides a high-level program view that highlights the health of each initiative and enables Leadership to take action around anticipated risks, opportunities for acceleration, and key decision points. </li>\n <li>Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of multiple cybersecurity projects, from initial scoping and risk assessment to implementation and operational cutover.</li>\n <li>Works with sponsors, project managers, Cybersecurity Risk Management and Architecture teams as well as consultants and key stakeholders to accurately portray and communicate challenges and opportunities of individual projects to departmental leadership.</li>\n <li>Follows the PMO framework and required documentation for all projects. May participate in writing and reviewing SOWs, RFPs and other such contracts with external vendors. </li>\n <li>Acts as a subject matter expert and liaison between technical resources and faculty as new initiatives are being planned, developed and launched. </li>\n <li>Works to ensure faculty have appropriate options, including their respective challenges and benefits, for consideration. </li>\n <li>Contributes to project teams of major initiatives, primarily with project management or business analyst skills. </li>\n <li>Establishes standards for use across projects to facilitate a common analysis of data elements and project variables. </li>\n <li>May hire and directly supervise additional project management resources. </li>\n <li>Directs the work of all team members including project managers, business analysts, and developers that support software implementations and operational work on existing systems. </li>\n <li>Responsible for managing and delivering large, complex software implementation programs with multiple work streams, engaging external consulting partners, external vendors and key stakeholders across the university and healthcare departments. </li>\n <li>Provides portfolio and program level reporting in different formats for different audiences, including senior leadership. </li>\n <li>Shares analysis and impact of changes to portfolios and programs, and application support activities to leadership and key stakeholders.</li>\n <li>Establish a process for all major initiatives to pass through appropriate university and healthcare IT governance bodies and technical reviews. </li>\n <li>Performs other related duties as required.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: </p>\n<ul>\n <li>A bachelor's degree in IT or related field, and a minimum of seven years of experience in IT project management, with at least three years in a senior leadership role overseeing complex programs and portfolios, OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. </li>\n <li>Additional education in Business Administration courses is preferred. Experience working within an academic medical center, research, or healthcare institution is preferred.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>NOTE: Tasks related to this position can be performed remotely with only occasional visits to an Emory University location.
