This position requires strong communication and customer service skills, ideally with prior experience in customer service or retail and/or a drive to learn!</p><p><br></p><p>Do you have an interest in local food systems and providing a wide variety of local, organic, and conventional products at a fair price to the community? Want to help shape the future of City Market Co-Op?</p><p><br></p><p>If you are interested in working for a community-owned business and playing an active role in our vibrant local food system, then we would love to hear from you!</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Day-to-Day Duties</strong>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Direct Front End employees to ensure prompt, friendly, courteous customer service.</li><li>Oversee the opening and/or the closing of the store, and follow established procedures.</li><li>Ensure accurate Front End cash and coin handling, including verifying amounts, daily deposit, and sending/receiving coin orders.</li><li>Perform routine Front End tasks such as processing the daily deposit and opening of the store.</li><li>Maintaining a clean, organized, and professional work area.</li><li>Interacting with and helping customers; duties include answering questions and assisting with member applications.</li><li>Compliance with established City Market procedures and practices regarding operations, sales, safety, and security.</li><li>May be required to perform other related duties as assigned.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Two years of cash handling/supervisory experience OR three years of customer service experience required.</li><li>High School diploma or GED preferred.</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite preferred.</li><li>Knowledge of natural and conventional foods and the food industry helpful.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><p>Store discounts; free fitness classes, award-winning Wellness Program; Employee Assistance Plan; paid volunteer time; affordable &amp; comprehensive medical, dental, vision, life, disability insurances; paid time off; 401k with 6% match; spending accounts &amp; more!</p><p><br></p>",
