    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p>As an RN – MICU you will assess, plan, perform, document, and evaluate professional independent nursing practice at Lakeview Hospital; to provide work direction for and oversight of the nursing care provided by unlicensed personnel; to perform and document functions such as carrying out the provider’s medical orders; to assist providers with diagnostic and treatment procedures; to provide a safe and therapeutic environment; to coordinate, communicate, interpret, and explain patient care services to the patient ,his/her family, health professionals and important others; to perform related duties as assigned.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong><u>Work Schedule:</u></strong> 28 hrs weekly; 0.7 FTE; Nights 8 hours shifts (11 pm- 7:30am) every other weekend rotation.</p>\n<p><strong><u>Required Qualifications:</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Associate Degree in Nursing.</li>\n <li>Licensed as a RN by Minnesota Board of Nursing or has a Wisconsin RN License and Minnesota Boarder State Registry.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Registered nurses re-entering the nursing field, who have not completed 520 hours of nursing practice in the past four (4) years must successfully complete a recognized refresher course to qualify for employment. Written information of certification validating successful completion of a refresher course must be provided before employment.</li>\n <li>Current BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross (CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer &amp; Health Care Provider)</li>\n <li>Current ACLS certification. If not present at start, must obtain within 6 months of start date.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Stroke Care (NIHSS) required within 6 months of start date.</li>\n <li>Minimum one year RN critical care (ICU or ED) experience required</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Preferred Qualifications:</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Baccalaureate or Master’s degree in Nursing</li>\n <li>Associate Degree prepared nurses enrolled in Baccalaureate in Nursing program</li>\n <li>Charge nurse experience preferred.</li>\n <li>Telemetry experience.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>",
